Eberron Unlimited Release Notes

? Being reduced to 0 constitution will no longer kill players or monsters. They will be stunned for a short period of time and then behave as if they had been reduced to 0 in any other ability score (automatic criticals, etc.). This change applies to all ability scores - for example, Shadows will no longer kill you if your strength is reduced to 0, though you will continue to spawn a shadow if you die while under the effects of their touch. (The end of WP weapon power 5 effect)

? Barbarian Critical Rage I and II can no longer be trained. Characters that currently possess these enhancements will retain them until they reset their enhancements, and these enhancements count as their "Barbarian Specialty".

The crossing of the rubicon, the declaration of war against Barbs by devs. GTWF Barbs piercing specced with dual w/p (Top DPS) nerf.

What year is it?

Just starting to catalogue the litany of dev nerfs which have contributed to the current poor game balance of today. A question on efficacy of dev game play balance. How many variations does a game like this yield and how many types of builds do players play? I have read that this game could create over 1 million variations of classes so why is it that there are less than 1 million types of class favourites played in the game?...... Game balance.

Overwhelmingly, this game allows players to influence the devs design of game play to a degree which results in optimisation which kills group co-op diversification.

In game terms, Cetus self reliant uber builds (aka cookie cutter builds) that basically break the game and ultimately undermine the franchise of diversity.

However, before this happened, the precursor of game imbalance was decided at max cap lvl 12/14/16/18/20 by game design choices such as the one I highlighted in this post.

Further, with the average life expectancy of any MMO being 10 years DDO is well into it's twilight years at 8 years old. From here it will only appeal to those who have accumulated a certain momentum in items/class/past lives to fully exploit the enjoyment of mind numbingly boring repeated content interspersed with occasional new content to make you feel that all those years of repetitive grinding BS pays off.

This game isn't dead, but it is a body in its death throes. After 7 years as a VIP I categorically can say I am thoroughly disappointed how the views of so few have killed this game off. Well done ********.

To re-enforce the obvious, here is a Ftr based class ripping up EE content solo. Now tell me where exactly does the design of this game accommodates game balance?

Well done Cetus you won the Ftr vs barb argument and all your copy cat followers. 1 million opportunities and so few realised outcomes. This is why this game will fail. The meek shall inherent the earth.

Interestingly, DDO does not feature on any of the top ten MMO charts of 2014............ If you are an elite player and want a challenge then come and play something you are not King Muck of **** Island.

Cetus builds everywhere....... cya turbine, no more of my money ye shall inherit.

Long live the barbarian class.

Have no fear, barbarian is the next class on the list to get "fixed." If what we've seen for bard and pally stays true expect them to be so over-powered that we'll see Axer and Teh_Troll holding hands and singing "hjeal meh!" like its going out of style.

Juslim, I'd suggest waiting for the barbarian updates.

Half of them die all over the place... Still takes a moderately decent player.

Race balance is a bigger issue than class balance imo, take away their recon SLA and 90% of them will die all over the place.

There were always top builds, I think now we have more good options than in previous patches, and from what I've seen in the past few months devs are on an okay track.

We just need endgame content.

This. So much this.

Take any half-decent melee build and give it a Recon/Heal SLA that provides a 25% boost to attack speed after use and watch it go crazy.

I'm actually pretty excited that barbarian changes will be coming soon. I'll be fighting tooth and nail to put them securely back on the top of the melee classes and bring back their popularity while still trying to keep them balanced.
