As said in title, any1 has a good bard barb build that is not too much gear dependent? Happy for any answer on that ...

Considering Rage still blocks spellcasting, what did you have in mind? Were you thinking of some sort of Frenzied Swashbuckler, perhaps? :)

There's also the option of combining Coup with Ear Smash + Knockout or Arcane Encumbrance, considering you want to go that route.

Mainly i need it for Barb TR, so looking for something like 12 Barb, 6 Bard, etc... Sadly cant take T5 Rav and Swashbuckler together but if there is some1 out there that already has a good layout for that kinda setup, id be happy to test it :)

Im just going to swap out the fighter levels for barb, and obviously i wont be raging. Im also looking at a Barbificer build, WF, self heal/trapper

If you don't need trap skills nor Evasion, I would also consider Jack Dancer (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/442856-Captain-Jack-Dancer-F12-Bd7-C1) - again, swapping the ftr lvls for barb. Your feats wind up pretty tight, so you'll have to drop archery; but it should be enough to squeeze in the essentials (PA/CL/GC, IC, SWF/THF/TWF chain, depending on your combat style). Did you intend to Swashbuckle?

Did you intend to Swashbuckle?
Yep, and SWF then of course. Barb is not really contributing alot to it but might be fun to play around with. Thought of having 7 lvl bard for lvl 3 spells and maybe 1 lvl of FvS for divine might. But then, as usual ur running short of Enhancements points and u have to cut down on some trees...

My buddy and I were talking about having a mostly barb build, using Balizarde or really any of the weapons, and taking the Ravager Crit Rage line. Since crit rage is it's own special type of bonus, it would stack with swash.
Celestia came to mind on the build because it's technically a bastard sword, so it would get glancing blows when swashing. Take either some FVS or some fighter levels and just rock that.
Monster barb STR with a 12-20/x4 Balizarde? Yes please.

So, lets say, ill make it 12 Barb, 7 Bard (for lvl 3 spells) and 1 FvS (for divine might). What r ur suggestions for the enhancement trees... I just cant decide which tree i should skip...

And from what it looks like T5 SWB Exploit weakness might be better than Rav T5 Crit Rage because with 2 attacks im on the same threat range as with the T5 Crit Rage. Nad with the SWF line u attack quite fast...

my "Bardbarian" is level 16 at the moment and doing awesome.
final class break down is 11Barb/7bard/2FVS Human
Started with
18 Str
08 Dex
16 Con
08 Wis
12 Int
14 Cha
I went 12 INT because I believe in trading 28hp for 46 skill points.
All level ups to STR.
Started as bard with SWF and PA Feats
Cleave at 3, Gtr Cleave at 6, ISWF at 9, Icrit Bludgeon at 12, GSWF at 15, Shield Mastery at 18, Ocrit at 21, Imp SM at 24, 27.. I haven't decided.
Spent most of my APs on Warchanter.
Went with Chant of Power and Howl of the North over Coup De Gras.
FVS is for Divine Might and PRR
Barb.. spent points on Occult slayer for parry bond and guarding bond. If you're doing EE, you need all the PRR you can get.
I chose Icrit Bludgeon because, my green steel rapier has keen and Balizarde has keen built in. My other choice of weapon is light mace Skullcrusher and icrit helps there.
Hope this helps

I use scaldic rage all the time since I do not have greater rage yet. I will test it out once I get it.

I read some time ago, that skaldic rage has an effect on barb rage and granting a +4 bonus to STR, even if not active. So giving a +8 on STR with normal barb rage (plus any enhancements). So wondering if its betta to barb rage in this case or go with skaldic rage...

and taking the Ravager Crit Rage line. Since crit rage is it's own special type of bonus, it would stack with swash.
Swashbuckler's Exploit Weakness will also stack with Swashbuckling crit mode, and is approximately as strong as Critical Rage.

The last time I checked, if you use barb Rage first, it would auto-apply the +4 STR from Skaldic Rage on top of it; but if you used Skaldic Rage first then barb Rage, it didn't stack. I haven't tested since the WC changes went thru, though I suspect it was a bug so it may have been patched.

Currently neither order of Barb / Skaldic Rage causes any obvious strength bonus beyond what the descriptions say.

One really big strength of this build is that you can heal yourself while using Barb rage with Kingly Healing (tier 5 War Chanter). Which means you can go full barb rage.
