Daily Playthrough Bonus reset

I have noticed that quite often the Daily Playthrough bonus doesn't appear in the quest log even when I am eligible for it.
I rarely run quests more than once a day and am ignoring those times that I repeat a quest just before or after a full 24 hours has passed.
PLEASE do not bother commenting that I haven't waited a full day or not enough time has passed for me to be eligible for the DPB - That isn't the problem.

For instance, when I ran Epic Gianthold for the first time at level 26 several of the quests did not show DPB in the final log. It had been at least 2 weeks since I had played GH in heroic.

Sometimes I step into a quest and check the log; if it doesn't show the DPB I step out, reset the quest and reenter. Most of the time it will properly show in the log after doing this. Occasionally it will not show in the final log, even if it was appearing earlier in the quest.

Is anyone else having this problem, or can anyone confirm that it does add the 20% bonus even if it doesn't show in the log?

I saw on the forums before that this was a display bug; that the daily playthrough xp bonus gets applied correctly.

I think the better check is if you do /ransack

Any quest listed on there has lost the bonus or has the repetition penalty; likewise, quests not on there would have the bonus.

I have found that it always does apply, even if it is not showing. Also, do you or anyone in your party use hirelings? As soon as the hireling is called the DPB will disappear from the XP report. A lot of times I will step in and take a quick look at the DPB before it disappears, that way I know at the end if it has applied or not.

This is very likely the problem. Plat hires, gold seal hires, shard hires, the MOTU panther, and the Storm Horns owl bear will cancel the daily play through bonus. It's an 18 hour reset window by the way. Not 24.

Yeah I can confirm that behavior all the time, you always get your XP

/ransack is the way to check. The only caveat there is "first time" runs don't increment XP ransack, so if you've already run it today as a "first time", you'll just have to remember :) That applies to absolute first-time, and also first-time-at-difficulty, I believe.
