Well I am on the fence with Thunderforged.

It does give me something to do on Epic. It is the new Greensteel?

I still think that EAGA might beat them still with its d20 [W] cause I spam [W] attacks Cleaves/Momentum Sing/other and melee with Adrenaline.

Please sell me on TF. Pros and Cons. Seems TWF is taking over again. The single weapon base damage Tier3 is huge at average 35 or TWF 35+35(.8) vs. 2hdr at 45 average.
And if TF wins what weapon. I have been using EAGA, but I love the critical profile of Falchions. The [W] is not as good and you can increase the critical profile of Axes with Momentum Swing.
When you add in Deadly and seeker do critical take over. I like the base damage on TF Falchions, but the [w] is still weaker than Gsw and Gax. Does the Heroic argument for critical range still hold up comparing them?

Here is one good link under Melee thread that has some good heroic choices. Even convers my favorite Paralyzers for Heroic.

They are almost even, as far as baseline dps goes, some math guy will come to prove me wrong.

Weapon choice:
1. What do you have, or can have easy access to
2. Do you want the big numbers, or the smaller numbers but more often?

For characters running LD mostly, i think g.axes end up being superior, almost no matter what. Not to mention the crazy numbers just feel better, even if they dont land that more often.

I still like the flavour of swords more, but currently not having eSOS or eXuum, that sort of kills it for me.
On the other hand i have the best g.axes in game. I prefer the bigger numbers too.

The number guys will tell you top THF weapon is likely TF Falchion. The threads have been around for a while but' finding them is a pain not on my main comp.

Does Momentum Swing +1 to critical range happen after IC or before it? There are other things that affect range and multipliers?

It seems if you have more buffs to range Gaxes take over and more buffs to multiplier then weapon range takes over. The more you buff multiplier the less axes matter. Yet W matters too. Deadly and things like bloodletter make range more important than W?

In LD and FOTW Gaxes and axes rock. Adrenaline almost guarantees a critical and maximizes my human damage boosts clicks. I was thinking when out of those EDs and farming other EDs TF falchions takeover especially now that they have Metalline. Now my EAGA also has Righteousness for Good?

Also how does Deadly factor in to base damage and critical damage???

The TF potency 100 would be great for flexibility for caster melee types in other destinies. The con would be the minlvl and that you might have already farmed all those destinies and just run LD and FOTW now ;)

Even with the extra crit multiplier from LD for the greataxe, it still loses. Flachion is by far the winner for thunderforged and the tf greataxe trumps the antique greataxe.

I lean that way too, but need the whys?

How does Deadly factor in?
Then there are other buffs like Divine Might and Str. Etc.

As for Adrenaline and +16 to critical range you must agree that Falchion range does not matter much in FOTW??

Are you saying that TF Gax is a lot better than EAGA?
I see lots of TF fire damage but not much else on linked weapons.
Seems like force and Righteousness makes EAGA the boss weapon still?

I am leaning towards building a TF Falchion for mobs or if outta Adrenaline clicks.

You have to also consider that damage is not everthing. That having a good boss weapon and a good mob weapon and that differentiating between the purposes of the weapons matters in the game?

Is EAGA a better boss weapon than TF?

Do all the EDs and buffs and items make it complicated to compare or is it really just a simple contest that TF Falchions win? TF metalline is huge for that.

What catches the eye on Falchions is setting off Dragon Edge. I like bloodletter weapons for Heroic. I tried Bloodletter AH Epic axes and Falchions, but they could not beat my EAGA d20 W or it wss too close yet lacking Metalline since it is a suffix now. The TF with Dragon Edge looks like a nice boost to Falchions. It says on critical and not Vorpal ;)

How are the bosses with fire in later epic lvls?
Seems most are puttiing fire damage on TF.
Does dragon edge work on bosses?

Tier 1
I like the potency +100 from tier 1 or 1st degree burns???
Does this stack with devotion and radiance and impulse and combustion spell power because it is Universal item? Regular Potency?
I am assuming it does not stack with other Universal item spell power.

It is regular potency

Can't comment on eAGA or tier 3 TF but eSOS beats tier 2 falchion on everything but undead...if you take the tier 2 minus fort (can't remember what it's called and am on my cell phone) and put on mourn lode armor/docent the tier 2 TF is much better...I imagine the difference is much greater once you get a tier 3...and there are lots of slĂ´ts on the thunder forged . And the current endgame is loaded with undead
