I don´t know if it has been done already, but the idea is to post a description of your gaming style to find out other similar players to game with. Usually I don´t mind going slow to help out newbies; occasionally I end up jumping on a zerg train, but most of the time I wish I would know more people with whom to run at the same pace. To tell the truth, I haven´t PUG for many months now because I got tired of all the drama I found on my last runs. I am in a guild (a good one, btw) but I still find myself soloing a lot.

Of course this is no substitute to meet and know other players while actually gaming, but it´s a first filter to avoid misleading first impressions and unnecessary drama.

So, I came up with a few ideas on how to tell what kind of gamer you are. Feel free to add more, but don´t write an essay. Keep it directory style, keep it simple. If you change your characters or your style, you can always edit.

Active characters: Nahiz - Pindaro - Dassin
Playing DDO since: 2011
Average gaming hours per week (DDO only): 10
Average time to get from lev1 to 20 (on a 3rd life or more): 4 months
Level of highest character: 25
Usual difficulty level (on heroics and epics): Heroic elite / epic hard
Usual pace (doing every optional/breaking every crate - learning/casual - fast - zerg): Usually fast, casual when i don´t know the quest well.
How would you describe your gaming style from: 1 (enjoy the quest in itself, don´t even mind if completion is not achieved) to 4 (flawless xp/min, 10% death penalty is not tolerated): 2.6 (I think of myself as a dedicated casual gamer) :)

Characters: Antipan, Pandargon, Panmoron, Pansargon, Panifin, Pandolin, Pangrael.

I’ve been playing for a while (pre MotU and even pre-Madness). Reluctant guild leader.

I run in a static group, but we are new-player friendly. Currently leveling Pansargon, Panmoron, and Panifin. If you see me in a PUG, it's usually my nightly group. Hit the LFM is you are PUG-adverse due to past experiences.

I basically will join any PUG that is a non-zerg, and avoids griefing. You can shoot me a tell asking me to join, however, realize that I have a static group and they are placed at a higher priority.

I rarely farm for anything. I like doing runs with all ops, and max XP (Conquest, Ransack…you know the drill).

I’m not concerned too much about streaks.

I usually run Elite / EH. I will, on occasion, run EE on some toons, but I prefer to work on filling out my destinies first. I hate leaving epic XP on the floor. So I either run gimp, or (reluctantly) switch to my best destiny.

I do about 3 hrs a night, starting around 8:00 pm EST. Certain exceptions apply.

I like to joke around, but keep it clean and keep the drama to yourself. I don’t need to know how stoned you are at that exact moment in time, how hammered you are (trust me, I can tell), listen to YOUR favorite music while I play, or listen to you argue with your wife / boyfriend / husband / partner / girlfriend / significant other / cleaning lady / kids / dog / neighbor / milk man / whatever. I play to have fun. I have a job. It pays extremely well, and is stressful enough, thanks. I don’t need it in the game.

Hey, it sounds like a good idea, I'd love to keep an updated friend list full of like-minded players. :-)

I'm not totally convinced by your "directory style"; either your thread will be very popular, in which case I can only imagine how dull it'd be to read pages and pages of the same answers, or only a few players will be replying and we might as well introduce ourselves a bit better, don't you think?
Anyway, here we go:

- I mostly play on my main, Belarkan (Heroic Completionist almost done, Epic Completionist will be next and then I'll roll a few iconic lives). I have a couple other characters, Alderick and Eihwaz, but I try to focus on my main as to get the feeling I'm going somewhere.
- I started DDO in 2006, in the European servers, then it's been a bit on and off. I've been quite active for the past two years.
- I play a few hours a day, often between 2pm and 6pm EST, sometimes later, and even more on weekends.
- When running heroic quests on a 3rd lifer, I prefer to streak and run them all once on elite, do all opts, go for conquest and ransack when it's not too much trouble, rather than zerg and repeat. I don't care what is more time-efficient, I enjoy playing the content. I do however like to play efficiently: it's faster if everybody help with the breakables, maybe group can split to complete different objectives, etc.
- I don't mind playing at a faster tempo but I'm also very happy to take the time and guide a less experienced player. (It's just a bit difficult to manage both at the same time, like when you post a lfm, wait at quest entrance to show a new player where it's located while a zerger has already solo'd half the quest)
- At epic levels, I usually run eHard. I'm sure it'd be fun to run EE with a group of players I know, and who can work together. (it's just not so fun to join a EE PUG...)
- On your gaming style scale, I'd probably be a 3: a dedicated player?
- Some of my favorite quests are the Pit, the Shadow Crypt and the Coalescence Chamber. And yes, I'm serious :-p

Zenarek - Deugon

2006 I first played - 2009 I started my own account.

What's 12 hours x 7 days? - I'm a kid with no life.

10-12 hours on an xp pot

That depends if I tr or not

Heroic elite and epic elite (eh when I etr)

Invis to boss and dps boss

4 - 'You die, you leave!' Or 'Be good or be gone' either works.

Hey, you're just doing what the DM says...

"Two exits leave the room...KEEP SMASHING HIS CRATES!"

Awesome idea Nahiz!

Active characters: Mississippee - Gharrick - Aandre plus the official stable, and dozens of experimental builds.
Playing DDO since: 2005
Average gaming hours per week (DDO only): 5-20 hours nowadays
Usual difficulty level (on heroics and epics): Heroic elite / epic hard solo - epic hard/elite in groups
Usual pace (doing every optional/breaking every crate - learning/casual - fast - zerg): Guild runs usually casual. PuG groups any speed, usually depending on mood. However TEAMWORK is a must.
How would you describe your gaming style from: 1 (enjoy the quest in itself, don´t even mind if completion is not achieved) to 4 (flawless xp/min, 10% death penalty is not tolerated): There is no better or best answer for me here. 1, 2, 3 and 4 all play a role, depending on the character/quest.

Play hard, laugh hard and win, together. That sums up a good night of DDO for me.

Llewndyn

Active Characters: Llewndyn (11), Ninjamon (26), Lutenist(21), Araknia (26), Mannoobs (15)
Playing DDO since: 2009
Average gaming hours per week:15-ish
Usual difficulty level: Heroic Elite/ Epic Hard
Average time to cap: depends, if it's 1-20, I can do that in 3-4 weeks; if it's to 28, I've only done that once, and it took 2 months, so not enough data to make a difference. I TR Llew often.
Usual pace: If it's new content, I sniff every flower, hit every breakable, molest every kobold. If I know it, as fast as a haste pot will carry me, red alerts be darned
How would you describe your gaming style: I usually go along with whatever the group is doing. I can join a zergfest and keep up; I can also not ruin a quest or chain if I'm in a group with a bunch of newbies. I don't particularly favor one over the other; naturally though I prefer to zerg through stuff I find boring or run a lot, but even then I make sure I clear more than usual if I'm in a slower group or I stay back.

I'm on every weeknight from 9-11 CST, usually on Llewndyn, as that's my main. On weekends I'm on off and on all day long, depending on chores and whatnot.

Brenndann

TR'd and am now a low level ranger these days.

In terms of play style I'm flexible and happy to just slot into whatever play style is going on around me. Also don't mind helping newer players out.

I'm on most evenings GMT'ish.

Most likely if you see me on it'll be on Derpadurp. He's a 25 shiradi wiz right now, just finished up his barb life.

Active characters: Derpadurp - Weezl - Whatever I decide to make as a spur of the moment
Playing DDO since: 2007
Average gaming hours per week (DDO only): Anywhere from 2 to 40
Average time to get from lev1 to 20 (on a 3rd life or more): If I'm actually playing, 3-4 days?
Level of highest character: 27
Usual difficulty level (on heroics and epics): Heroic elite / epic elite
Usual pace (doing every optional/breaking every crate - learning/casual - fast - zerg): Generally fast, but only because it's going through the motions. Not doing it because I mean to be fast
How would you describe your gaming style from: 2 - I'd like to complete, but I don't care if people or myself die in the quest. I do care if they recall and reenter, though.

Generally speaking there are four types of players considered.
