I've looked through some topics of animal form build but most of them were not specific enough for my no-druid-knowledge brain. I might have missed on a good build that also has specifics, so if that, please just post a link to the comments.

I want to make a animal form build that is survivable and tanky enough to solo while dealing good damage at the same time. Doesn't matter if wolf or bear.

I have 32p builds and everything unlocked exept favored soul.
weapons would probably be handwraps but im not locked onto anything, so its not that important.
I read that splashing in monk is very good so would probably use that.

Would like stat/class on level/feat distributions.

Thanks in advance. :)

Check out the link in my signature. There is one build their under the casters section titled "Gingerspyce"

It is an extemely good build and has almost everything you want.

A few general comments about wolf builds:

SWF feats will boost your atk speed while in animal forms (as long as you meet the feat reqs); however, you don't get the +200% dmg bonus nor PSWF's 19-20 vorpals. This appears to be WAI.
TWF feats will boost your wolf DPS as well; this was confirmed as not WAI last year (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/424332-TWF-feats-now-work-with-Wolf-and-Bear-forms-is-this-wai?p=5110235&viewfull=1#post5110235), but AFAIK it hasn't been patched yet.
SWF + TWF will stack on a wolf build, but the feats are mutually exclusive; take one and you can't take the other. There was a work-around using rgr's free TWF feats, but not sure if it still works.
Druid 9 / monk 9 / <splash> 2 has been a popular combo for wolf DPS builds: druid 9 gets you winter wolf form + access to Natural Fighting feats; monk 9 gets you 3 free feats, Adept of Forms, and Imp Evasion; while the <splash> lets you round out the build (usually ftr 2 for extra feats & Haste Boost, but rgr is also an option). The main drawback is missing out on higher-lvl druid spells.

There are some interesting wolf builds in this thread (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/425933-Natural-Evolution-a-simplified-wolf-dps-build).

It IS primarily a Caster. You should read it before you knock it. It is a very capable tank.

Did you find a better tanking Druid. Perhaps you could be..... helpful......
