Trinket Slot?

What are you putting in your Trinket slot? I still have the Sustaining Symbiont and have not found anything better. The planar conflux items might be good if they worked with all weapons, seems too situational if you are swapping.

Currently have +3 Insightful Strength Planar Focus of Prowess.
Once I pull a Dragon Masque, I'll swap out that for my +8 Con Black Dragon Helm.
I think when that happens I'll use the +8 Con Planar Focus of Prowess.

That +15 PRR is just too good to give up in most cases, and with the exception of when I'm using my TF bow, ALL my melee weapons are from CITW So I almost always have that set bonus up.

Other than that While leveling I usually use the Cove trinket(the one with Fort and Stoneskin guard) until level 9, then it's bloodstone till 15 for Sustaining symbiot.

I use an EE shamanic fetish for the 120 devotion and brilliance with a green slot. Its nice when you haven't found the gauntlets of immortality yet.

Normally id say a planer but with thunder forged trumping just about all the citw stuff, theirs no need.



As far as heroic can't really beat the cove trinkets for blur/extra hp and stoneskin, and the extra stacking sp dc one.

Depends on class and level.

I'm playing warpriest, so I use +3 cha focus, cast DM, then swap to EE shaman fetish (with +2 max dex bonus sloted).

On heroics I wear +200 mana ioun and swap to voice after buffing, or canith crafted with seeker or spell DC (compasses drops from wheloon chain reward and can be decrafted).

I did not know the Wheloon trinket was craftable, that may be interesting. Broken music box looks cool, as blue augment slots are not common outside of armor. I am running a bladeforged ranger with the recon SLA, thought about the Shamanic Fetish, but opted for the dragon cloak from Eveningstar challenges because it boosts both repair and cure spells.

I consider trinket one of my hotswap spots, there other is either googles or cloaks, depending on the character.

I still occasionally use the Sustaining Symbiont, and the Cove trinket with +fort,+hp,+earthen guard. These are good trinkets.

The music box seems like a good endgame choice, since you can fully adapt it to your gear layout.

planar focus w the+15 prr for higher lvls.......the Cove Spyglass ,for true seein lets me wear drow headchop goggles. The siberys compass is nice too ,diff toon w that goin. Stalwart trinket seems like unanimous lower lvl choice. Pale lav,Voice and pendant on hotbar of course too.

On my bard I use level 16 blasting chime tier 2. The idea is to take it tier 3 and craft either fire or lightning resist or mobile and kinetic lore or anything similar.
On my cleric I use the cove trinket with stoneskin.
On my artificer I use pale green ioun stone.

But all 3 should be using litany really, best trinket in game if you plan for it. Only the artificer has it and I will swap to it eventually.

Litany, sometimes swap to planar trinkets til high enough level for th forged gear, then back to litany, low levels cove trinket usually, if caster at lv 5 vibrant, if not caster something crafted or cove trinkets

Eh, Litany is good, no doubt about that. But the best trinket in the game?
It's +1 profane bonus to all stats, and +1 Attack/Damage.
The clicky is okay I suppose, but really only has any appeal for casters.

Planar Conflux sets are much better in my opinion, if you're using CITW weapons.
If not, and I'm not trying to squeeze out every point for DC purposes(Mainly stunning blow/fist) the there are plenty of other Trinkets I would use.
EE Shamanic Fetish, EE Manual of Pilfering(or whatever it's called.), Epic Cove Trinket.

I don't know if its worth it to stick with L15 over the L20 version long-term...you cant get too much out of Crafting +3. Mobi is probably the best option, but only if you cant get the last 2% Dodge to hit cap elsewhere.

If you go L20, you get a colorless and green slot - colorless I'd stick a Perform diamond in there for your DCs, and green could be PRR, Good Luck +2, Resistance, SP, etc. etc.

Whatever will be the best for my toon. My ranger uses Tier 3 CC Spyglass. I don't think I'll swap to Planar Focus ever. Slot consolidation has become very tricky these days, especially for multi-role builds. Planar set just blocks one important support slot.

Without more of the smbiotic backlash items I think the symbiont is not the best choice. You ciould, for example, craft yourself a trinket with GFL and something else (cannith crafting). Of course. you have to work with what you have or can reach.My barb used the medium armor + dance guard with symbiont till lvl. 24.

I play melee - here's my progression

Master's voice til I upgrade to
Duskheart - fitted with masters gift til I upgrade to
Sustaining Symbiont - even on lives I don't use the breastplate, I'm yet to find a trinket that offers more. Maybe this life I'll find something better but I find it to be one of the better trinkets in the game.

My progression:

0-4 anything or nothing. Usually Kneeza Bauble since I usually drop it.

5-14 Voice. Together with cloak, it gives TS, later I drop the cloak but dont rly bother with replacing the voice, cause who cares.

15 - 22 Pale Green Ioun Stone. Direct upgrade from the voice. On lvl 20, I may switch to Litany.

23 - ? Either Focus for CITW weapon bonus or Litany.

When I dont use CITW weapon, I always use Litany, cause its the best trinket in the game.

Switch trinkets:

- Epic Dusk heart for mass deathward.
- Manual of Stealthy pilfering if I am on trapper.
- Pale Lavender Ioun Stone for spell heavy fights.
- Some of the symbionts either for rage spell or caster clickies.
- Treasure hunter spyglass.
- Chime from cannith challenges.

Now, I would LOVE to get my hands on the shard for the epic version of Shard of Vollun, but I guess that is not going to happen.

On many of my characters, the shamanic fetish, EE if possible. But naturally it depends. the spyglass from crystal cove is excellent for trappers, +20 spot & search, +3 UMD, +2 INT, trueseeing AND a green slot at level 20 pretty much isnt beaten until near cap & you can get the manual of stealthy pilfering.

As a situational switch-in, pale lavender ioun stone, shard trinket of greater restoration (turn in 3 medium eberron dragonshards) & the mysterious bauble are really nice too. Oh, and at very early levels the vibrant purple ioun stone can be a help too :)

Abbot has a lot of nice items and it is also very interesting and fun raid but the flagging mechanic kinda sucks IMO.

Quiver, litany, unwearing, petitioner staff, breeze etc etc.
Almost every item in abbot is nice to have and useful.
And it feels great to get em, since first few abbots for everyone feel like a struggle and a nice challenge.
Abbot is one of rare raids in ddo that are great and have actual mechanics that dont include split and kill
/and litany is by far one of best trinkets in game for most builds, esp with thforged being so powerful most of us drop the planar set making litany the best trinket even at lv 28

11-? add Crafted True Seeing trinket to rotation when needed
14-22 add Sustaining Symbiont and Shamanic Fetish (ML14) to rotation
23 - ? Planar Focus +3 Strength and/or Sibery's Compass ML24 (PRR +12) + Shamanic Fetish (ML25) when needed

Also experiment with some others but those are what I have been using mostly.
Haven't spent enough time above level 26 to worry about a trinket for those levels yet.

Depends on the build. Most of my characters have VoM, but for some it's been worth it to switch it out for Dusk Heart or Blood Stone or CC Spyglass or Mummified Bat. (Night Hag's Heartstone is also a fun one, especially when Nightmare Guard procs.) I've got Iouns planned for a few characters that were lucky enough to have them randomly drop outside of Dreaming Dark (Incandescent Blue, and Pink & Green), and for others I'd like to get Planar Focuses.

¨Not the only reason - Quiver is also absolutely fantastic on TR character (no minimum level 30% striding in a slot you would not use anyway? Hell yes!), so is Ardency (best heroic bow in the game and best until Pinion), Then the Shroud, both staves... for Pale Masters, The ring is astonishing. Abbot gear is simply worth it.

And ofc, the Litany is THE LITANY - best in slot for many.

Undead extra turning trinket and also an undead guard trinket, but not both at the same time. In the Mabar event I would wear the guard trinket or a quest with 100 percent undead, otherwise teh turning one.

I have been trying to get the Egem of many facets to go with Eclaw for the +4 artifact bonus while still wearing the Sun Soul set on my monkey; might even stick some more gear in there from Red Fens to make epic sets for certain effects from level 20 up.

no luck yet--Chronoscope is a slow slog.
got the Eclaw glove though; Red Fens epics drop generously, it seems.

Epic litany has some real potential, imagine the player reaction to - Altar: "Epic Litany - turn in 5 heroic versions of the trinket"

Each upgrade tier also now needs 3 completed epic abbot sigil frames.

if you are a bard and relying on the exceptional CON and GFL of the symbiot, the tier 3 Blasting Chime can host those two augments as well as offering anthem, sonic power, and a guard

You might have a point but the slots are really the only things you gain by going epic tier 3. That and +1% lore and 10 inherent sound resistance. Now that I've settled on crafting it with mobile of persuasion and have the ability when I tr to just mastercraft it so it goes min level 13, I think there's too much upside to sticking to tier level 15
