Hi,
I've been running Abbot and ADQ more than usual recently and have been having some problems with my new gearset when I get hit with a disjunction effect.
Specifically, two of the items I'm wearing have either masterful craftsmanship or wondrous craftsmanship. Those special properties mean I can wear the items at level 27 even though normally a higher level would be required.
What I'm wondering is, is it working as intended that the craftsmanship properties can be suppressed by disjunction? It's happened a couple of times now, and the effect is that I get slowed for a couple of minutes as if I am wearing overlevel equipment until the disjunction wears off.
It's kind of a pain, and I'm wondering whether I should just be carrying swap items or that this is a bug which might be fixed at some point.
Thanks.

can you post some screenshots before and after of the weapon? as well as the burden of sin debuff so we can be sure thats the problem. I am curious if the wonder/master text is still present while the temp disjunction is in effect

Hi,
All three times it has happened now, the disjunction has been on the masterful item, not the wondrous one. I'm not sure if that's just a coincidence, or maybe wondrous items don't behave the same as masterful ones when disjuncted.
I only got a quick look at the debuff; it showed up as a slow icon in my buff bar and mentioned having overlevel items equipped as the reason. I don't think it used the term 'Burden of Sin', and it disappeared immediately when I swapped the affected items out. The disjunction was only for period of about two minutes, and everything went back to normal after that period was over.
Next time I will try to take a screenshot. I have tried to upload screenshots in the past but haven't been able to figure out how to do it; the instructions I've read don't seem to work so perhaps there is a forum or browser settings issue. If I can't do upload pictures I will type up a more exact description of the effects.
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
Just did another Abbot, so here is some more detailed information.
* The disjunction did hit my wondrous item this time, so both masterful and wondrous craftsmanship items are susceptible.
* The item text says: Disjunction: The magical effects on this item are suppressed. (1 minute and 49 seconds remaining)
* The buff bar text says: Over-level item encumbrance: You have an item equipped that you do not meet the minimum level usage restrictions for. You will suffer from reduced movement and attack speed until you unequip this item.
I hope this is all the information you wanted.
It doesn't seem to be quite the same as what people were complaining about when Burden of Sin appeared for the overlevel item equipping exploit. From what I remember hearing, that required GM help to clear it from your character.
Thanks.
Edit: In answer to your question, Mindos, the masterful and wondrous properties seem to disappear while the item is disjuncted. They reappear after it has expired.
Be glad they aren't disjuncted permamently, the abbot is more than any mob responsible for permanently destroying items. more so than rust monsters.
I actually kinda like it, he disjuncts your magical item so you can't control it's power anymore. It's flavorful and not OP
Hm, I wonder if the abbot ever disjucted the supression of the taint of evil of a greensteel item. That would be amongst the most epic kills ever by an enemy. :-)
