I'm working a PM life (well, cuz I've never done one) and I'm planning out enhancements. The skelle seems to be a PM feature, but its expensive. 6 for first tier then 3 more each for tiers 2-4 for a total of 15 points.

Is it worth it?

I do have 3xDruid past lives, so that could boost it and I could also work in the augment summons feats I suppose.

I'm trying to get push up INT to get high DCs and I'm feeling pretty stretched on AP.

Most of my leveling is done in 2-3 person groups for most quests. Then raids as often as possible.

Thoughts?

I have found hire/pet AI in the game to be uniformly atrocious. My PMs have invested 1 tier into the skeletons for lever pullers (and soulstone picker-uppers when soloing and not using a hire for scaling), and that's about it.

The PM skeletons have extra strikes against them, as if you interrupt the summoning animation, the timer goes off and it doesn't get summoned. Additionally, they cannot be raised, so the summoning is a firm once-per-shrine thing if they die.

Lever puller, it's handy.

Excellent investment of 2 points. Can pull levers, and survive, so you can hide behind him from light ray spells.
No point investing in upgrades. Just buff him up with heroism and blurr, if you want. He deals no real damage tho, but heals from aura, so can survive most things. But if you build your wizard properly, he will just slow you down, as you have to wait for him.

Depends on the level. Would say by the time you hit 11ish, the utility drops off to the point where you're better off freeing up the AP beyond lever-puller for a secondary tree. (And this is coming from a guy with 2 druid past lives and aug summons to back it up a bit up till that point that really likes the notion and has fought for it for a while now.)

Good summary, it is a great utility for 2 points... don't spend more, don't expect anything beyond utility.
