The rules are simple:

You can't vote for yourself.
They have to currently play DDO.
You have to explain why they would make a good producer.*

Reason: Well I got to be honest, I typically can't stand this guy in general, I mean we don't agree, and I personally think he's abrasive, and in some cases downright nasty, but, I have to give credit where it is due, and he has been a banner waver and fanboi for Turbine and DDO, constantly over all the years, all the updates, the changes that have made my skin crawl and made me want to quit, he has been there waving the "I love this game" Flag through it all, and that means he really loves this game, and I can't help but see that and believe that he wants good things for it, he would want to do whatever he could to make this game something great. While I believe that only his heart would be in the right place to steer this game, and... well.. that needs to be recognized.

So this is the second time I have seen mention of the producer changing. Didn't we just get a new producer with a new, shiny, fan-voted name?

As for a community producer pick...

The problem with any community candidate is that they all lack the fundamental metrics to support their beliefs to begin with. We are all just relaying opinions about the game we would like to see that may have little to no connections to the fundamental reason the game exists in the first place--to make money. In fact, if the direction of the game over the last few years is any indication, most producers have failed to find the balance between compelling content and the p2w foundation it all sits on.

I am not sure any player passionate about the game has a firm enough grasp of that to be of any particular use to the development team.

Good luck finding a wizard that can monetize bug fixes, bend it like beckham back toward being a D&D game, and make more money with quality content than P2W.

I'm not sure if that was sarcasm and I missed my save or it was serious, but just in case it was serious, Major Mal is now working on the Lord of the Rings Online Group (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/444107-MajorMal-Rowan-who-s-in-charge-now) instead of the DDO group. I don't believe they've said who will replace him, but they've also recently brought Dev Sev online in the DDO group, and he is seeming like he is doing some good things with player communication and interaction, so I'm thinking good things are still coming down the tubes for us.

Ed Greenwood. After listening to him on the commentary, he has a whole world approach to creating that I really like. He talks about how interconnected things are, and how small details like bathrooms matter. ITs the small touches that really give a sense of believability to things. Sterile, empty environments are so clearly just created to be an obstacle vs. a place where something is happening that you have to deal with. And his modules were great fun.

Hoenstly, I have come to think over the years that a big part of DDO's problems stem from them being too easily swayed by the player-base, or elements within it I should say. While I would rather see a lot of indians doing work, I do think that there needs to be at least one strong chief.

Considering the initial Spellsinger and Warchanter enhancement improvements I will vote for Vargouille. The enhancements are not perfect, but out of the gate they seemed to at least recognize where improvements needed to be made.

Vargouille acknowledged the PC's role in the enhancements which means that even if all of the ideas did not come from him, he can still negotiate and present a good proposal with council and forum input.
