OK, so U22 has some serious quality of life issues, and it's been out long enough for word to get around.
You made a point of saying QoL was in your top 3 list.
You have traditionally been one of the most, if not the most, communicative members of the back end of the house.
You are the Live Producer, and therefore ultimately responsible for U22.
When bad things happen in the real world, the head of the company comes forward and makes a statement himself, he doesn't leave it to the press agent.
Would you please come forward and make an official statement about QoL in U22 and how it affects your plans for the game going forward?
This game needs strong leadership, having the Live Producer MIA is very damaging to a reputation that is already less than stirling.
Please, we need to hear from you on this.

This was NOT the reply I was looking for
So my questions fall to the next producer in line, can we get *some* management statement on U22 QoL, QoL priority going forward, and what changes are planned as a result of the U22 experience?
Or is Turbine still trying to decide who *is* next in line? Dev Tracker isn't showing an introduction letter, who's got the wheel right now?

More than likely we won't hear anything. All those who actually communicated with us are gone. We'll get a letter this fall or around the holidays with the same ole "Yeah, a another year, BIG things are in the works!" and that will be it.
Since we are just lowly customers we aren't important enough to know about (even a little bit) what's going on at the business we are trying to support. Before the fanbois chime in, I don't need a business plan but as the OP here pointed out, anything to restore some confidence, which is profoundly shaken ( Mal's departure and a god-awful release of the recent update) with a good portion of us. But as usual, I'm pretty sure Turbine doesn't see this as a problem. Just "oh those people on the forums being cray cray!"

There are no worse QOL issues with U22 than there are with any other update. In fact, there's probably less. It's possible you may personally be effected more this update, but it only means that. So the answer will be exactly the same as it's always been. They will move forward and tweak as they go. If this isn't satisfactory to you, you should probably quit playing MMOs and complicated games in general.

You seem to be the vast minority with this opinion. Just look around.

All is exactly the same as it's always been. If you'd like to point out the differences, I'd be willing to listen. Until then, I'm not sure why posts like these are any different than the doom posts we've had since the beginning of time. You mean, the doom is really really real this time? Or no, it's the same as it's always been.
I know what the safe bet is.

I have no idea what opinion you're talking about. I said a couple things, not sure which you are having a problem with.

Your opinion and you state as much. I'm pointing out that many, many people disagree with your assessment. To many people here and that I know, this update was one of the worse in regards to QOL issues. There are threads all over the forums about them. If you choose to ignore them or downplay them, that's your prerogative. It doesn't make everyone else's opinion invalid as you seem to think. This thread is asking a different question so posting what I think are bad would be a derail of the thread.

So shut up or leave? Lol, ok. The old-time go-to when all you want to do is troll.

For starters we are already in U22.1 and U22 was released approximately a week ago. Considering we have limited patches between updates, I would say this is a start of a fact and not opinion. Considering U22.1 addressed only 1 (major) issue and didn't even skim the other ones on the "Known issues list" (I didn't provide a link, but it exists) shows another fact that is not an opinion. So this update was not like most Updates. The fact is, in my limited time with DDO, 4.5 years, I can only remember one other time where we had an update so close to a release (within weeks).
No, the world (Turbine) isn't ending but this was a sloppy release. That is also a fact but it doesn't make the natives (players) feel any better.

You're right. Very few people use bags, crafting or storage.

FWIW, every other update typically has QoL things. So U23 should bring a lot of what we have been seeing. AC/PRR/MRR, pally, enhancement changes, etc. Then U24, which by my estimation will be the last of the year, will be lvl 30+epic abbot.

It would seem that with DDO having found the Bottom of the Barrel, the Maj felt Prod'ed to move his Malphunktion on up to the Middle of the Earth ;)

I find the patch within one week after release a fast response from Turbine.
One major (pun intended) proof of Turbine's ability to listen to her customers is the lowering of the timer on the /stuck command.

Remember Kyrlane? He could have used that a lot.
Re: OP, MajMal gave a lot us hope for many things here. I don't play LotRO but from what I hear about the state of that game, he should be able to help them as much.
Onward & upward, now about those heartseeds,

Are memories really this short?
We had 2 hotfix/patches in the first week of U21, and nearly weekly hotfixes for a month after that.
He's right: U22 is not particularly buggy compared to other updates. Everything they release has significant problems. The critical, game-breaking ones get fixed in the first week, and the bulk of them are fixed in a major patch a couple weeks out.

Wow, I've been away a while, is this now considered normal and acceptable? Maybe I should stick to other games, I thought it was pretty bad here before!
Well, thanks for letting me know the lay of the land these days, I wish it was better news but better an unpleasant truth than a pretty lie. I wonder if they realize their quality is so low that players are now warning off other players with high standards?

Yeah, I didn't follow the forums much while I was away, but of what I did catch there was a lot he had to say that I really liked. I wish he had stuck around long enough to follow through. He seemed to have sensible priorities, and the focus and determiniation to stick to a plan. I hope he can put them to good use for LotRO. I suspect LotRO is the money maker, and if they crash then Turbine and by extension DDO will follow shortly. So in a way he is helping DDO even from there.

Cmon, that was fixed in like 4 days, one can't seriously whine about that.
