So, I just returned to DDO -- one of my alltime favorite experiences in an MMO, and moved from Khyber (I had.. most of the pre-20 gear I could want on my toons there, and I don't like starting.. "in the middle", kind of ruins the fun of slowly amassing a huge pile of loot to pass between my characters when I do so) -- I heard Thelanis is one of the more populated servers where all the cool kids hang out, so.. here I am :D

Problem is (At least from what i've seen today) it's kind of.. dead in public chats, though pugs are going fairly strong overall -- makes the game lonely. Meanwhile the guild forum doesn't have many prospects for a "Fresh" player -- but having a guild for random conversatin/groups would be fun! plus you know, ship buffs. Dem ship buffs.

So I was curious if there were any semi-populated, returning-player friend guilds recruiting that I could maybe find a nice comfy spot in?

we have a few players who are low level that could group with you.
As you get to know them then CLAW might be a fit for you and you a fit for us.

This. Great folks. There are some other non-guild channels as well. When are you usually on?

CLAW is a great group - and they're the right kind of picky - they look for the best people, not the best players. Though while we may not be the first to beat a raid on EE, we're still solid players and any PUG that takes a CLAW player knows that the CLAW member already knows it or knows how to listen to directions.

As we have people still actively pursuing Completionist or are altaholics, we have a good level spread (though admittedly I personally took a break from my Completionist train to pursue Epic Completionist).

We're also fans of random conversations/groups - I've had days where I spent my entire play time running around the Guild ship having debates. This also means Raids/Groups are never quiet!

Note, though, if you are really mean and/or eat babies, you need not apply.

Uh, nighttime EST. I work graveyards, so my schedules a little wonky, anywhere from 4pm-9am.,

As for CLAW -- i'll join the chat, at least it's people XD. I have.. bad luck with extended interviews though. Last time I attempted that, I spent a week answering questions and getting to know people, then got shut out because I was working an 88 hour week that week and took too long to get around to doing mandatory "group with members to vouch for you" step, because it "Showed I obviously didn't care that much about joining." (I had 22 posts on the forums in a day from answering questions and talking to people in my app thread, because I had time to respond on the forum at work, but not.. log into Neverwinter to run a dungeon.. Totally didn't care about joining :/)

.. they also billed themselves as laid back and easy going. so I have a bad kneejerk reaction to guilds who put up interview barriers.

But kneejerk reactions are what they are, and I shouldn't make judgements based off of them.

IGN is Kyuubin, I'll be skulking around clawchat tonight.
