i didn't even think of that when I posted it...

but fantasy role players, in my experience, tend to be on the "take things too seriously" side vs. "over the top comedic"

Not really, you can get some funny groups
In the RP community here in DDO.

You just need to use the grouping system let em'
Know what kind of RP you're looking for.

That was pretty funny but the guy did take it just a touch to far...
There toward the end I think they were getting a little annoyed. :)
