Shadow Docent and Automated Repairs (enhacement) Question for Dog

Greetings,

I have a question regarding the Shadow Docent armor and Automated Repairs from the arty enhancement tree Arcanotechnician.


If I upgrade (http://ddowiki.com/page/Thunder_Forge) my dog's Shadow Docent to:


Shadow Construct
10% Profane Repair/Rust Amp

will that basically boost this enhancement from the arty Arcanotechnician tree (http://ddowiki.com/page/Arcanotechnician_enhancements) for moar HP healed?


Automated Repairs: You have installed automated repair systems in your Iron Defender. It repairs itself/and you/and nearby allies 4d4+1 points of damage every 18/12/6 seconds. (NOTE: Testing suggests that it repairs you every 12 seconds at both rank 2 and rank 3, while the tooltip claims it repairs itself every 12, and you every 6, at rank 2. And it is repair, not heal, so you must benefit from repair to benefit from that aspect of the power.)

Has anyone tried this and know if it works?

It should because automated repairs are a 'repair' effect and thus should be affected by 'repair amplification' effects. Can't say I've tested it though

Hmmm, I guess I will be the 1st to try. It would be neato if it amped both the dog, and myself and others, when we stand close to Buddy. Perhaps tonight I will make a trip to the forge and upgrade.

I probably should see if there is some way I can test pre and post to see of there is a difference.

EDIT ~ I'm working and on EE L28+ survivor package for the pooch. I may post some screen shots of the gear set up afterwards. Buddy can already do fine in some content, but I want to top 3 kills in Thunder Peaks with him (Buddy's current record) and make him more low maintenance, no pun intended.

I will say that the new enhancements make the puppy a beast in heroic. I got him sorted with a DT con +6 radiance guard fearsome docent and tier 1 alch bryesk handwraps of air and he bites.
