So I have shadar kai unlocked, and I've been trying to think of a good build for farming favor. He'd have to have one level of rogue (duh!), but I wasn't sure what to try with it. Any suggestions?

if you're just talking about grinding 1k favor per server.

1rogue, 2barb, 12wiz pale master.

self healing, 10% movement speed, sprint boost & arcane nuking.

feats:
1 Insightful reflexes
3 quicken
6 maximise
9 empower
12 heighten
15 eschew materials

wiz 1 : mental toughness
wiz 5 : improved mental toughness
wiz 10 : spell focus conjuration

Don't you mean 2 rogue 1 barb?
No reason I can see to go 2 barb and evasion for going 2 rogue

Edit ,
Yeah sprint boost is tierII
I see why barb 2 now

I just do 1 rogue 2 paladin and 12 monk it doesn't take long to get 100 favor and go again

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I'm looking to grind enough favor to unlock 32 point builds and such, not just to get 100 favor repeatedly.

if you're only looking to get as far as 1750 favor for 32pt builds and vet status 4, i'd stick with the build I pointed out prior.

If you're going to aim for 2500 favor to unlock fvs, switch out the barb levels and go 13wiz/2rogue. As you keep leveling up choose more wiz levels.

Any reasonably self-sufficient build can do that. Do you need a build that can function without twink gear (e.g., starting on a new server)? It kinda matters if you need a build which can make the most out of your starting gear.

I fiddled around with a pale master and seemed to get splatted. A lot. Maybe I wasn't doing it right, I can certainly give it another try.

Pretty much no twinking, or at least not significant. I've got maybe 30k plat or so?

Pale Trapper (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/422622-Pale-Trapper-for-new-players-(Human-18-2-Wizard-Rogue)) is pretty easy to convert to SDK. Main drawback is none of your SDK starter gear is applicable to spellcasting.

I would consider a TWF build to take advantage of your starting daggers: rog 5 / rgr 10 or rog 5 / bard 10 to start, remaining lvls into rgr or bard, respectively. Rgr gets you free feats, better DPS, ranged DPS; bard gets you better healing, better buffs (except no energy resists, but hopefully unnecessary w/Evasion), and some CC via Fascinate.

Bard sounds kind of interesting, although with the crappy charisma that may be tough. I'll give them both a try, thanks!

This. The crazy fast movement and abundant step lets you rush through lots on content. Make sure you have Great Cleave to clear out crowds and you're golden.

I like mine better for survival and flexibility plus personally I don't enjoy arcanes it works just as well for getting 32pts and vet status and does well solo or grouped

I think that about sums up the difference for anyone between a casting favor farmer or a melee one.
