I'm getting a 201 error for lamania. The downloader doesn't seem to be downloading all of the necessary files.
My Steam version of DDO is not having any problems.
Is there a steam version of Lamania? Will this get fixed?
I'm thinking that people who already downloaded Lamannia won't have any problems since the already had the necessary files downloaded. I'm getting some of the newer files but the older DAT files aren't downloading.

Still isn't downloading all the required files. Windows 8.1 if anyone is wondering. Once again, the newer modified files are being downloaded. The older ones are not.

yep I have the same problem. I did just install windows 8.1 today as well so I of course thought it was a permissions error on harddisk with the user level. I did create an admin account and verified that my owner account IS admin.
I have my old install backed up on an external drive so the files are all there if I need them but that said, it sounds like a patcher error? Is that right? FFS IT'S MEMORIAL DAY WEEKNED WE WANNA PLAY lol
I really hope its not an OS issue but it seems to be working for others on 8.1
boooooo please help

ok i'm going to nuke my download and try to reinstall to the same folder. I just edited my permissions as the trusted installer didn't have all permissions...duh!!! This SHOULD fix it

I'm getting this too. Win 8.0, running everything as an admin, multiple clean installs. After the server selection it just crashes and gives 2 successive 201 error messages.

Yep, I'm having this exact error. I really want to get on Lamannia, because I like testing, but this 201 error persists through multiple, multiple downloads and reinstalls.

I too am having this problem. It can't find the data files. I have run Lama a year or so ago without issue, hopefully there will be someone to help us with this issue.

Here's my error - now happening the same way on two different machines... one Win 8.1, now Win 7.

again try
OK, this might sound weird, but when this happened to me, I shut down the launcher, then killed the 2 netsessions running in my process list (kill the small one first or it will respawn the big one). Restart the launcher, and the Akami eula will eventually appear. Don't accept it, just allow it to sit there (whenever I accepted it, it would stop the DL, but it would eventually pop up again, and restart the DL). Eventually, it said the launcher quit responding (but it DLed a bunch of stuff by then), I then restarted the launcher, and it finished the patch without Akami, and then I could get to Lammania (finally).
GL!
I hope it works for y'all. It seems to be the best way I've found to not allow Akami to do the download.
EDIT: I think that the most important part of what I did is killing the Akami netsessions that are running. Kill them as processes and make sure they don't restart.

Well had this problem on a win 8.1.
First you must reveal hidden files then you must disable the proxy server (inernet option, connections, lan settings) but win 8.1 will enable it again after 30 sec or so, I have tried almost everything I can think of trying to get win 8.1 not to enable the proxy again (registry, resetting ie and few other stuff) but nothing helps.
Hope this helps :)

What worked for me:
1. Install lama launcher in the same turbine folder as regular ddo, but under a different subfolder (that is, you have Turbine / and two folders LAMA & REAL).
2. Download the HD version. You can do this in the launcher by clicking at the options little arrow.
Voila.

OK - I think this is an AKAMAI issue - the files are actually being downloaded to "C:\Users\<YOURNAME>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Turbine\DDOLamannia\Dungeons & Dragons Online\" with some sequence number (none, (2), (3) etc). but not copied to the "C:\program files (x86)" directory. (Not necessarily \turbine\DDOLamannia - that's the name I picked for my install)
I haven't finished yet, but I'm wondering if just copying them will work.

client_highres.dat
client_local_English.dat
client_map_1.dat
