I have come across a decent STR build for my paladin. It is based off of Divine Might. At level 12, my paladin has a 54 STR, buffed. Is this STR score in line with a barbarian's STR score at an equivalent level ?

I'll get a higher as I level:
2 level bonus
1 tome
2 enhancement upgrade (Gloves of STR +8)
3 prestige bonus
54 previous cap
62 STR at level 20.
Thats cute. But i know fighters who can get 60+ str at lvl 12, not 20. And they can and will have more dps than you. Also barbarians at cap will get more than 60, splashed ones that go all for strength will go well over 100 str at cap. maybe in the 70s at lvl 20 maybe more, too lazy to do the calculations

Thanks Axil. I needed to know.
Well, if you have completionist, you have played long enough to know that 50 str is good at lvl 12. When you ask it on the forums you are either being insecure, or you are passively bragging, expecting others to say how great you are. If you arent sharing the build, which could be useful for others, then you are surely just
bragging with your str. So, yeah, you needed to know.

10 CHA modifier bonus
6 shield stance
These are the only class-specific bonuses. If we're talking pure barb vs pure pally, I think the barb is: +6 Gtr Rage + 3 Power Rage + 2 Frenzy = 11. HO can get another +2 Power Rage for +13 STR. A barb could equip an Insightful STR item, but I don't know of any that are ML:12.
Ofc, who plays pure barb anymore? Cleric or FvS splash gets them Div Might, negating that advantage for pallies. Plus if you go S&B, you can't really call yourself DPS-focused anymore, despite the +6 STR.

I am not interested in some people throwing feces at each other...
So some questions to make something useful out of this.
Influence of STR in DPS, how much, what does it depend on.
Not a contest of how high you can get with every twitch - pre ships and pre pots and what not STR. How much to get based on my previous question.
Thanks in advance!

I have literally no idea what you're asking.

Influence of STR in DPS, how much, what does it depend on and how much STR you should get in a build that doesn-t sacrifize the rest.
What is unclear? :S
For instance, monks have to achieve a balance between WIS for their DCs and STR for their raw damage.
Other people simply dump STR even though they also melee

My question is how should a paladin balance its strenght vs other abilities and to better understand the trade off, how much DPS can you expect from having STR 40 vs STR 60 or 80, for instance. How to make the most out of STR? What are the synergies? (EDIT - for instance, if you plan on using weapons with large crit multipliers or threat ranges, does it matter more to have STR there?)
Of course it would help some context on the build of the OP.

At level 12??
It makes almost no practical difference at low levels.
If player 1 can hit 40 damage a swing and player 2 can hit 75 damage a swing. And the mob has 80hp, they will both kill the mob in 2 hits.

Well, I didn-t mean strictly at level 12, but I should have made it clear. How about by late game, where all the differences are magnified?
