Hair styles

So, I TR's into a shadar-kai for the PL bonus, and though I tried hard to minimize the damage, she's still UGLY.
Now I collected lots and lots of hairstyles and colours, which would definitely help, but some while ago it was posted on the forum these do not actually work on shadar-kai.
Obviously my question is, is this still the case? I'm hoping they changed it (after all it would make them money), but haven't heard about it.
Anyone know?

I don't know, but this is why I have not made a Shadar-Kai yet. They are just too ugly. It's like the designers took all the worst attributes from the other races and combined them to make Shadar-Kai.

Nope. They actually did not take the plastic doll look from half elves.

That's a possibility. To me, Shadar-Kai got even that because they look like horror dolls.

Atleast they aren't as ugly as half elves. I won't touch that race with a ten foot pole because of how ugly they are.

Shadar-Kai on the other hand atleast look like real people, not people with melted faces.

Still, half-elves are the best dancers. Teh face problem can be easily remedied with a full helm.

Personally I think shadar-kai are worse than halfelves, but only by a small margin. From the responses so far I gather shop-bought hair still doesn't work on them, so I guess I'm out of luck; minos may cover the ugliness, on a wizard it looks decidedly off. At least she'll be in wraith form for some time yet, that'll give me time to look for that blue/green feathery helmet, a version with a slot in so I can craft fortification on it and slot the minos augment in it. With the glowy eyes from lich form, that might even become acceptable.

I actually like the Shadar-kai look quite a bit, but I agree that they should really be allowed to use store-bought hairstyles. I get that there are in-character reasons for them to stick to certain styles on character creation, but if I want to spend money on other options, why won't you let me, Turbine??

The Spider Mask helps them. Especially in it's current implementation of ALWAYS showing when you log in.

PC shadar-kai are supposed to have defected and turned away from the regular shadar-kai way of life, so I can certainly see in-character reasons for a visit to the local barber. So yea: please Turbine, come take my money!
