View Full Version : So my toss boulder just hit for 2192

It was a yellow hit, so damage was reduced. 20d100 should be a max of 2000, and the "new and improved" nerfed version isn't supposed to use spell power.

So any ideas?

Helpless? Blitzing or using wrath in crusader? Now that it's no longer a spell, but a physical attack, it may (should?) be boosted by the same things that boost base attack damage.

What a Primal power (which doesn't even exist I'm told) has unpredictable results? Vecna only knows how it works now. Maybe they just gave it its own crit chance.

Actually really enjoying this at the moment, tops a couple of light spells in-between the boulder toss. I am getting over 1000 regularly. I am playing a lvl 21 axe wielding cleric and have only primal sphere currently from previous life (Barb). This is kinda new to me but works well for me so far. I guess as boulder toss has been changed strength now contributes to the damage and now spell power. So divine might etc is all helping?

I used to get 6-9k damage/toss, sometimes higher - after the first nerf.

Now I'm getting around 1-2 k, saw 2k pretty regularly and, like the OP, got more than 2k a few times. Maybe some vulnerable stack there? Anyways, I have 12 str, so str is not buffing it for me.
