The one piece of rare gear I've been after for the longest time since first playing this game in 2009 is finally mine: the widow weave cloak. I've done this latter Whisperdoom adventure so many times and on so many characters but until tonight it's always eluded me. I must admit, though, that this is one of my favorite dungeons and it's great for racking up xp (especially since they revised quest ransack). I wonder, though, if I will enjoy this as much now that I finally have the cloak in my grasp? Every time I turned in the silver goblet and got the usual assortment of random junk I was disappointed and sometimes even angry but I still enjoyed the adventure. I'm curious as to how much I'll play this in the future, but I can't quite see myself not running it anymore.

Congratz! Ran that recently. Tough end boss.
Always thought Widowblight (http://ddowiki.com/page/Widowblight) was the thing to get--the bewildering effect drops the mob's save against the paralysis--imagine dual wielding a pair of these. Their epic equivalent is Blade of the High Priestess (http://ddowiki.com/page/Blade_of_the_High_Priestess).

I'm not saying the widow weave cloak is the best piece of gear available in this quest or any of the others I run over and over again but it's the first piece of rare gear in this game that I really set about possessing and having finally obtained it I get some sense of satisfaction and even achievement even though the cloak itself isn't as great as it was before I'd accumulated a fair amount of rare gear plus advanced to a decent level in Cannith Crafting. There's also a feeling of anticlimax involved, too. Thanks for all the replies.
