I went onto Lamannia and used some admin abilities to check this out. At least based on what I could tell, the lever is behind an invisible wall, and can't actually be reached. So, not sure what it'd do if you pulled it.

I should add that while I can't say definitively that this is the case for this lever, it's possible that this lever is a leftover from the dev who worked on the quest. Sometimes there'll be a temporary lever added that allows a dev to reset something (encounter, NPC dialog, etc.) automatically for testing purposes. So if I were to guess, this lever might have been used to re-trigger the encounter for testing purposes.

Obviously, there is an invisible Kobold that's there to pull the lever, to let Sinvala through in the first place. :D

I bet it's going to be used in a future content where they reuse the instance of the same quest but make it so that the lever will actually be usable that time and will probably have us go where Sinvala came from and go back and kill more Black Dragons. We could use the scales.

That, or it's a scrapped content where it was planned to have the lever open up the portal again and an even stronger optional Black Dragon would exit and try to kill the party, but then the developers thought that was too much of repeating the same thing so they just scrapped that part and put an invisible barrier over it.

Haha, the Dev Tracker leads to some awfully random threads sometimes.

There used to be non-functional levers all around the white dragon area in the Stormhorns too -I am not sure if they are still there. Maybe it's a dragon thing :-)

can you do this for the shadowfell quests? in army of shadow, there is 2 levers behind secret doors that are currently blocked. Characters can spot the secret doors but no amount of search can 'find' them to open them. tried even the store item before. Not sure what they'd be. its possible they are just to reset encounters and such too but its odd that you can spot the doors for them. one of the doors is in the south path in the ne of the first room, the other is on the opposite side of the wall directly infront of where you enter, just to the west of the one shar alter (the one beneath the bridge heading towards the upper floor).

that, and the useable fire basins in the upper floor, usually they are breakable but those in that quest/floor can be used to put the fire out, so I thought maybe that a combination of them would spawn some type of rare in that quest but no amount of testing revealed that it did anything.

Is this the same situation as the three or so invisible levers that are in the dragon area of Stormhorns? I believe it is the white dragon fight and not the red dragon fight. If your map is open it is the dragon fight on the left side of map.

I have tried pulling them all at once, but nothing happens. One is in the air suspended.

And no, I am not trolling. They are there.

So, you're saying on the last day of DDO or when you go postal, whichever comes first, there are a bunch of hidden levers you and the other DM can start yanking over and over and kill us all??!!!!

It's Ragnarök I'm telling you, Ragnarök!! Oh, wiat... that's ummm, well, ummm... I've been watching too much Vikings ;)

It's the DOOM, I'm telling you, DOOM!!

There, I feel better.

Not anymore - at least, they weren't there last week when some friends and I fought the dragon. I was annoyed, first time I'd gotten the dragon with a full party of people who'd be willing to spend some time trying to pull levers and they weren't there.

I spent about 20 minutes trying to get to that lever in Mired after discovering it last week as well lol

Makes total sense. So when we finally see Psionics introduced, they'll be able to use their Telekinetic ability to pull levers that we can't normally reach but can target and we can see what this does? Nice one.

Or alternatively could it just be a method left behind purposefully in case a GM needs to "fix" the quest?
