Doing some pretty good damage with the lightning sla's right now at 15 running around the vale on an iconic. Getting 350 normal on blast rod and sometimes 700 crits with empower and max with 168 electric power. Question is what do these hit for at 28? I see they are caster lvl 10 capped so any increase from here is just going to be from spell power.

at cap they hit for less because mobs save and/or evade
sad but true
levels 10-15 is where the SLAs really shine.

The SLAs are garbage at cap. They do so little damage that they are not worth slowing down your other sources of dps by adding them into the rotation.

On my sorc lightning bolt sla hits for 2000-4500 damage. On my artie, it's around 500 - and sometimes it forks! I think I once did 1000 when it forked, but I usually do 300-500 or maybe 600.
It's like tickling an EE mob and daring them to mash you into pulp.

Looking for numbers on blast rod and lightning sphere. Is it 500 save or is it 500 non save? Looking to see what #'s are on these gaining 150 or so spell power from 170. I would think 345 damage now at 170 spellpower + another 150 at least would be more than 500 non save. Not everything has evasion.

No idea, sorry. I don't have any of the slas on my artie and have never used blast rod. In low levels, I one shot everything w/t xbow. In epic, I go force specked.

Looked up spellpower and how it interacts with spells since no one has #'s for these. They are dismal and its the low casting level that is holding them back. Example best case scenario caster level 10 at 5-8 per level, 80 base lets say for blast rod. So 80 x spell power as a percent.
80 x 525% (300 spell power + max and empower) = 420 non crit, no save.
Double checking if I am right using my previous #'s
80 x 395% (170 spell power + max 150 + 75 empower) = 316 which seems a little low but in the ballpark to what I was seeing.
Good news tho, its AOE, might be handy for magister debuff or hitting a lot of targets to up damage for a time. Lightning motes help but 15% of dismal is still garbage.

What does a normal volley from a repeater hit for non crit? 100 a shot?

In mid epic levels my Artificer (elemental and force specced) was hitting for around 850 when things didn't save, around 400 when they did. I solo'd the first 2 sets of eveningstar quests with this. After going to any other epic content the damage was just too low. They were saving automatically so max 400 damage possible (most mobs seem to have resists so its more like 200-300), when mobs have 30k+ hp that just doesn't cut it.
I've now totally respecced to be Bow DPS based with high trapping skills. Now that character is getting played again as hes much more useful.

It really depends on the xbow. I posted a thread comparing Thunderholme weapons to Needle. It details dps for both, given some assumptions - you can find it here in the artificer class discussions.
