I don't suppose this applies to negative energy from the weapons as well? I doubt it'll happen, but I wouldn't complain.

Tks for fixing that nasty black cloud. Has anyone seen the new look? Is it better?

They fix this but do nothing about the DM voice?

Any word on when it will hit live?
Checked out the release notes. Glad to see some fixes. especially to the heavy plate shadowscale armor...
Too bad they didn't fix the glaring oversight with the universal DC on spell casting weapons. I could really use those 400 ingots back.

The Shadow guard is negative energy, isn't it?
So why the negative energy should not heal the undead? And why all the other sources of negative energy keep healing them?
This is against one of the core features of D&D lore...
So the Shadow guard will have no effect on undead? I sincerely hope that it will not damage them, otherwise, please, remove Dungeon and Dragons from the name of this game.

I know. I saw people posting about this and complaining like they were surprised, then a few days later it gets changed, shameful. Soon we will be fireballing fire elementals and fingering skeletons.

I really would like to have an explanation from Turbine about this decision.

It won't damage undead... it will say "Immune"... like death aura spell.

Fire elementals don't heal from fireball... do they? I thought it just does no damage... just like the effects from shadow armor will be changed to.
And yes, I was surprised that the devs would make end game armor (lvl 28 min) that can't be worn in end game content (because of all the undead).
Good change by Turbine. I like it.

Actually you can finger skeleton with colors of the queen pl feat.

The undead healing is silly, it was a petty complaint due to being too lazy to switch armor to confront enemies appropriately, as one switches weapons.

currently on lammy... neg energy on the weapons still heals undead.

Despite the release notes negative energy on the armor still heals them on lammy too. :D

Because that is what should be :)
D&D core rules tells clearly that negative energy heals the undead.

Excellent change; it was a good compromise from healing to being immune to it. Especially since the entire end raid is shockful with undead. It would be tragic if battleragers could keep healing from hitting you - I'm sure that was never the intent.

of course Turbine should find a compromise to please little crying boys who ask to change the rules or they cannot win...
There are also other armors in game, so, if you face undead, use something different than one with shadow guard.
It's simple and perfectly lore compliant.
