Hey all , I have been actively playing DDO as a VIP for over four years with the usual lag and sometimes DC"s . I can't remember when it started , but it happens alot more frequently now. I log in to play and after a few minutes my computer shuts off, restarts. when i log back into the game i have no server connection and red signal. i log out and log back in . everything is fine for maybe a few minutes or hours then same thing again. its driving me nuts , since i pay for this game and I like playing alot. I have a one yera old Toshiba Satellite C675 4 gigs of memory , windows 7, intel HD graphics , nothing altered or fancy but good enough for other online games i play ie.. star trek etc sometimes WoW. I have no lag or DC issues with any other games and super fast and stable internet .
any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks

If your computer restarts after few minutes of playing any 3D content, check the power unit of your computer. Try to replace it with another power unit. In 80% of all cases this is power unit issue. Rest of cases are other HW problems or problems with drivers
To speed-up log in after restart, use DDOPreloader.
Note: Sometimes happens, that only one game is affected, where other games are working fine. Don't be susprised, dont try to find logic there. I already saw computer, which crashed only in Wow, other games worked perfectly. Then 3D Mark has been started and also crashed after a few minutes (with restart). After replacing the power unit, no more crashes has been seen.

This happened on my old pc. Turned out the hard drive was tired and eventually died. Not saying yours is necessarily, of course. This is just my experience and it may give you something to investigate.

I had similar issues a couple of years ago, and it turned out to have been an early warning sign of my graphics card dying - oddly for a long time it only really occurred with DDO, despite also playing newer & more graphically-intensive games. Not sure if it'd be the same for you, but it might be worth finding some hardware monitoring software & checking if your graphics card is running hotter than usual.
