CoV's in Chest? [Where do I go?]

Has anyone pulled CoV's from the chests in the wilderness area? Are they supposed to drop there or was it only in the raid chests?

Skimmed the release notes, but must have missed it

Yes, they do drop in the wilderness. Got them from 2 chests there, ~14 comms each. Thoough had a +1 gem running and was blessing chests.

Yes I pulled 19 in one of the chests.

Got 18 cov's from the chest of the mercantile ghost (forget the name) in Thunderholme, so yes they drop. No gems or other loot stuff running.
NB: I killed that ghost 3 times in total, got cov's only once. So not a guaranteed drop.
Now if only they'd make the cov's in all those other quests drop from chests in stead of end rewards...

I ransacked at least 3 chests and ran through the wilderness countless times the first day for other rare spawns. I'd guess about 40 lootings and no CoV. If CoV are in those chests, either I'm doing something very wrong or the droprate is so low they might as well not even be there.

Yes I pulled at least 19 from one chest last night.

We noticed in our runs last night, that chests further from the start had more CoV's than those closer. Whether or not that means anything, who knows, but it was just something we all observed. Also pulled a +4 Wisdom Tome, I was actually more excited about that.

Only done a good handful of chests out there, but no CoVs yet.

Yes, I've gotten CoVs a few times in the wilderness chests. It's not common but it happens. They also show up in the raid chests as well as the raid end reward list, as normal for end reward lists.

I didn't notice.

But I did notice getting 68 coms from a completed Stormhorns quest instead of the usual 60. I noticied I forgot to pick up the end reward on my way to the new area... I believe the extra is for VIP + 5% ship buff rounded up.

That's disappointing. I was hoping for the COV's to stack in the same way xp does.

60*5%= 63.

63*10%=69.3

did 9 different rares in new explorer got 2 named items nearly 50 ingots and only 1 of the chests had cov's i think it was 18. this is not the way to farm them just a lucky find when you get them still the best way to get cov's is to just run sega chains from my experience.

Same here. Didn't see a single CoV.
