Thank you.

They have stated repeatedly that the EULA is from Akamai and therefore Turbine has no authority to modify it.

They (thus we) are paying Akamai for the use of the program. Get Akamai to have a EULA for use with DDO that is correct. If there is truly no P2P functionality, this is an easy fix to a document and could be done in a day. Not trying to fix this feels shady... and not in a good way.

One thing I have learned. When lawyers are involved, which is invariably going to happen with something such as a license document, it is seldom an "easy fix".

Not going to happen. Either you're going to have to trust Turbine and what they said publicly: http://support.turbine.com/link/portal/24001/24001/Article/79/Important-note-about-DDO-and-Akamai or not. This silly paranoia about P2P is totally unbased and silly. First, to implement a P2P installation WITHOUT the express consent of the end user would create legal havoc for Turbine. Secondly, Akamai licenses their product to a great number of clients. Rewriting the EULA in a single case scenario weakens any possible defense they might have to mount in potential future litigation. Third, I'm pretty sure the legal eagles at Turbine and the parent company, Warner, I believe, have already considered the ramifications of using this software.

So relax everyone, kill some Orcs ...

By clicking "I Agree" you are consenting to it.

You get it back next time you start DDO. So better use either PyLOTRO or DDO ML for startup. Else you get it back every single time ;).
