who made a new character to test something, deleted it, then realised later that I had received the anniversary box on that character, but since I deleted him, I got nothing?

Shouldn't it have been like the pre-purchase expensions where you have to click and claim the prize? I think so, now I'm kind of sad.

Even worst is, I kind of went VIP expecting to get some extra cards...

Well I sent a ticket trying to get a replacement... so far I'm being ignored. It's quite disheartening to say the least!

So you didn't actually open the red box? You simply logged on to a test character first, before all the others today? If so, I would file a ticket.

In the Developer's preview, Producer VyVYanne stated that there would be a pop-up window, to determine which of your characters would get it, but apparently that changed.

(Edit: I typed too slow and took too long to find the link).

No, I didn't open the box at all. And I sent a ticket already but no answer so far. It's been about an hour I guess.

Ok, finaly got an answer but it's rather time-consuming! GMs can't restore lost items, that's not too surprising. However they can undelete character, I didn't even know about that. Now's the trick, I made several test characters when I came back from work today, one of them must have gotten the box.

Seriously, it's not awesome. I got to somehow remember all the names and request that they be undeleted.

So yea, it really should have been an item that you claim on a character... Like previous birthday boxes and like what the Devs said in the video linked by Cleanincubus. I'm going to assume that I'm not the only guy in the entire DDO community who had this misfortune today.

Ok, I would understand that the GMs would not want to replace Anniversary boxes, because of the cards in them... But what about the dice and cruncher, it's not like people can trade those.

Any chance that a GM or fellow player who had the same issue respond to this thread?

So... you screw up and its not cool that dev want you to participate in cleaining your mess.

Quite frankly, you know that the dev doesnt have to help you with this, right? The fact that you willingfully deleted your own character and that you -which is your mess- had a box on it is... well your fault.

Dont take me wrong: I feel for ya. But I am kinda sick of the attitude:

I messed up. It is THEIR fault. THEY should have made it so easy, that no one in the whole world can mess up. I am not to blame. THEY are! Its so uncool man!

I think you're interpreting what I said in a very negative way. Sure I claim responsability, I never said otherwise. But none the less, I see that how it was done wasn't flawless and I don't know why it wasn't implemented like other event boxes or prepurchase items in the past. No harm done in healthy criticizing. My fault or not, I'd like a happy ending to this.

You probably are the only one to do this.

i have had zero luck filing in game tickets. I have had great success at filing a ticket(or whatever you call it) through the turbine website. even had an inventory item replaced. they are way more helpful than the in game help. it seems to me that the people who run the in game tickets use to work for insurance companies. their first response is to deny. I suggest you make your request through the turbine website. gl

I almost made the same mistake.

I logged into the wrong character and that character got the Big Red Box, but I did not now that because I realized I was on the wrong character and logged out.

I then logged into the correct character, but no BIG RED BOX. I sort of panicked thinking that now the crummy character, which I consider deletable is now in possession of the Big Red Box.

I log back into the wrong character and there is the box.

I then placed the box in the shared bank and I was reassured.

Logged back into the character I wanted, grabbed the big red box, and all was good.

But, for around 10 minutes I was worried because of the past history of new releases.

You probably are the only one to do this.

Perhaps so. It's not encouraging for me and my chances to get a box back, but good for everyone else lol...

A GM gave me the cruncher/dice and bag, I'll do without the cards. Thx for that, support team! Happy ending.

Was this in game contacted support or out of game contacted support? Similar problem, thanks!
