Hey,
No reason we shouldn't be able to merge the two systems and let me craft my own augments. Failing that, please give me some vampirism augments.

This would require the introduction of yet another crafting system/mechanic and I would (personally) prefer them to fix and update Cannith Crafting before doing anything else! However, I do like the idea of being able to craft augments but I highly doubt it will happen :(

Not necessarily, it could be added someway to Cannith Crafting while they are working on it.

agreed--I think this is what the OP was thinking.
I think what also should be adjusted is how item blanks with augment slots have a higher enchantment level. I know it is supposed to affect game balance otherwise (without the increase in enchantment level it would be overpowered), but even just changing this fact would make crafting on augment slotted blank gear very useful.

Oh yes please! It should come in an update to Cannith crafting. The machine that keys items for crafting should allow you to also key an item for an augment slot (read adds an augment slot to an item that does not already have one). And the shard crafting machines should also let you craft both bound and unbound augments. Note colored augments would take essences from 2 different crafting schools, and augments that can be used in any slot would require essences from all 3 crafting schools to make. It also would not be hard to make and implement recipes either. This would probably not take devs long to do and increase sales in the DDO store.

I'd like to see this, though I think augment blanks should be required. Basically, you take an augment you're not going to use, and deconstruct it into a blank augment of that color. You can then craft the desired effect onto the augments. This would drive astral shard sales up, because people could buy the cheap lvl 4 augments, deconstruct them, and make ones they want.

i'd love to be able to craft augment slots or guild slots into items via the canith crafting system already in place like put in your item make it craftable then with use a slot shard to put the slot into the item. specially guild slot items that don't drop any more it would be nice to make them. and make some augments via canith crafting as well even if it was a much higher crafting level than what we currently have.
Though I really don't want new crafting systems added.. just update the old ones.
