I have a monk with 122 AC, 28% dodge, 25% incoporeality and 150 fortification. I still get owned in EE, they basically 2 or 3 hit me!! Very frustrating to get what seems like fairly good numbers and still being smacked around, like a child in an MMA cage. What am I missing here? Im sure I can get my AC up a little higher but Im not sure if it will do anything, I mine as well just have a 0 AC, they hit every time it seems. Shouldn't a relatively high AC = less hits?

AC in EE is meh. Get PRR up and get some displacement clickies. Be able to heal yourself pretty good. Use good tactics, don't just stand there and go toe to toe.

You I am afraid are just experiencing the ultimate flaw in the DDO approach to increased challenge. Which ended up making their hard work in creating the AC/PRR revamp largely useless at least to the forum view of DDO which only takes place in EE.
In any content where your actually facing foes of a CR comparable to your lvl, AC helps alot these days. Those who demand extreme challenge get EE a place where only extreme meta game tactics will really get you anywhere. Especially in melee as just like in PnP sane adventurers do not try to get close to big bad monsters that can rend you into little bits.
This is all because Turbine pretty obviously is incapable of competent AI for foes that could simply employ more advanced strategies on higher difs like targetting healers and casters, ignoring the weakest DPS sources no matter what, and focus firing on the most obvious threats.
But good AI that will do things like adapt to enviromental obstacles, and be more then 1 trick ponies easily exploited is well beyond the devs among the ranks of turbine, that is pretty obvious to anyone who has watched this game evolve.
I recall back fondly to my days on City of Heroes, where if a player flew out of melee reach every mob had at least a medium ranged medium dmg attack to harass them with, and many could also fly or emply anti fly attacks. despite being a click cooldown play style, the game always felt far more dynamic in the movement then DDO ever has.

I was mistaking my AC is actually 129, so this is even more pathetic.
