Ya ya I know. Flavor of the month. The problem is I have run just about everything but a PEW, PEW archer/Monkcher. I currently have a level 11 Helf (cleric dil for easy button hjeals)34 pt monk. My choices are to take level 12 as the final monk level(abundant step is a must) and then continue on with the multiclass. 6 levels Ranger, 2 levels "X". Or I can use the free LR 20+ and rebuild from the ground up. I know that I am leaving out some much needed details however I am on the road and cannot log in to check what he has for feats etc. Bottom line is, what feats and base stats are a must? What is the synergy that the build requires for the massive DPS that I am constantly hearing about? I have been lurking the forums looking for a general build to start from but there is no agreed upon "start here" sign.

Depending on what you want this is a general guide

Stat:
(Will be tomes you can access or afford)
Dex 19 for improve precise shot (min 14 with +5 dex)
Str 21 for overwhelming crit if you need it (min 16 with +5 dex if if lvl ups go sumwhere else)
max wis for 10k stars

Race:
Human, Elf are the best ones, Half elf is OK (Debatable)

Class:
Paladin for charisma saves
Fighter for feats

Refer to plenty of Monkcher builds out there.

The Marksman (Shuricannon/Monkcher blend) (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/435647-The-Marksman-%28a-shuricannon-monkcher-blend%29-11-6-3) No abundant step though. Currently playing this build and works well.

I've played the shuricanon Scrag mentions (here (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/423018-Shiradi-Shuricannon?highlight=shuricannon)) and loved it .... if you want abundant step and other monk goodies on a pew pew build go that route. I highly recommend it. It's an elegant build with only 1 button to keep mashed down so you can focus on footwork and staying ahead of the mobs.

The 'massive' dps comes from having maxed out fury of the wild, and enough twist slots to twist pin from shiradi champ.

In heroic content you aren't going to see any massive dps. Then again trash doesn't have 15k hp in heroic, so that's ok.

With zen archery the most important stat is wisdom, that determines how many arrows you shoot with 10,000 stars active. You probably still want enough dex to pick up improved precise shot (19).

Everything else is gravy.
