Turbine has been offering perks such as the 10% XP bonus, the 10% increased public area movement speed, and the recent Epic Heart of Wood in order to entice players to purchase a VIP subscription. One additional perk which would be more visible and lasting could be a VIP Room or VIP Area.
This tavern, gated area, or building could contain discounted vendors of all types (e.g, Reagent Vendors) as well as an elaborate PvP area. A spirit binder could be included in the VIP Room for access to quick, discounted repairs after death. There could also be a Teleporter Gate to more areas in the game than can be accessed presently from the Houses' Teleporters.
NWO has a special room in the Moonstone Mask Tavern in Neverwinter city that can only be entered by those purchasing the $200 'Hero of the North' Pack (I don't know what's in it). I'm sure that having an exclusive area would appeal to at least some current and potential VIP subscribers, enough to justify the cost of developing such an area.
If you are not a VIP subscriber presently, would this encourage you to buy a sub? What are some amenities or features that could be included in the VIP area?

I don't like the idea, sorry.
When I group with someone or interact, them being VIP or not has nothing to do with it.

Nope. I went premium when MotU hit and the 11k points bundle came cheap with it. It was a no brainer at the time. I've got too many points sunk into adventure packs and other things that VIP's get to be bothered going back. Add in the fact that I have no interest in PVP and discounted vendors are a meh "bonus" at best and it makes it an easy decision for me.
Honestly, if Turbine ever did come up with something so good it would make me want to be VIP again, I'd probably just end up being upset and feeling I was duped into going premium and buying all the things only to have all those TP lost when I go to VIP for whatever boon they are offering. Out of spite, I'd probably just move on to another game.

So like a "portable hole" for VIPs, or a "hall of hero's" that would be somewhat useful as opposed to vast empty space it is right now.
I am not VIP, and I don't plan to ever be VIP again, but I could get behind that kind of idea.
Have an Airship Portal and the Standard Teleporter as a means to leave. Maybe a special ViP token to get you in, that you get with the purchase of the ViP package, like how the Key to EveningStar works.
As opposed to anything "special" just have the standard stuff all in one place, Guild Vendors (From House K) the all the Turn in Vendors (Add ambiance as opposed to worthless NPC's), toss in all the altars (GS, Alchemical, DT, Etc), pretty much a one stop little spot for ViP.
Sure, go ahead!

I don't like suggestions that split the player base in game. theres already enough problems with talk of forming groups that are not popular quests and we already have an intentional barrier in the game called Eveningstar for people who already own the expansion but must get a key to teleport from favor, log in/out, be an Iconic or flag ourselves running level 16 quests to play level 15 quests. I am a VIP, but I cant get behind suggestions like this. im all for improving ways to get people to pay subs, but not for intentionally splitting the player base.
I would comment on vendors and potions, but I don't think I can say as of yet and not going to risk it.
the game is not about PVP and really wouldn't want to see extra attention in that direction. I actually would rather see it disappear altogether because this is not a PVP game in that sense.

Yes, it would be something like the portable hole that VIPs could pop in and out of during the game. I think a VIP Room would encourage new players to purchase a sub as most of the things they need would be in one place, resulting in significant time savings (even for veteran players). The VIP Room could be a small mansion with at least two floors, a bar area, etc. The space should be aesthetically pleasing.

Noooooooo, that's what a Guild Hall should be. Or Ship.. whatever.. :) But again, ideas to split people up aren't cool. Especially that some people prefer the Premium way, than VIP. Those are still people contributing to the game.

Yah, but it would't really split them up.
I mean, no more then the Portable Hole has divided up the population of Divines vs Arcane, where one goes to house J for their stuff and the other goes to some "magical place".
With this little plan, It's not like the ViP lounge would have anything that a Premium player would not have access to, so really it would be like giving a ViP a "one spot stop and shop" as opposed to the Strip Mall that a Premium currently uses.

Don't think anything is worth VIP, unless all the TP I have used in Premium is somehow not wasted. VIP also does not grant access to all Adventure Packs e.t.c. It just has too many entrenched negatives to be worthwhile, especially for people who don't play regularly.

Yeah. Refund me 50% of the $$$ Ive spent as Premium on stuff which is included for VIP and I will immediately buy a 1 year VIP.
I own everything in the game I want to own - except 1 pack. I will get that eventually. I have all the races and classes and iconics and so on. Going VIP gets me 10% more XP and all my toons can open on Elite rather than just my TRs.
But since half my group are VIP I would also go VIP as well - just because its easier that we are all on the same XP.

I'm against any idea that prompts subscribers to ask, "Well, aren't we special?" Technically, I'm a VIP for another two weeks or so--and enjoying the perks for myself these past three months I may be a little dissatisfied with being a mere premium again. But, gosh, you folks who uninterruptedly pay your $15 a month are (some of you anyway) sure seem to feel entitled to your sense of entitlement.
While I wouldn't mind getting something more as a VIP vendors aren't it and a PVP area is a penalty to me for me special pets or cosmetic effects would cool
