I do want to be excited about the devs of this game being increasing communication and openness.
It just seems to me we have heard this before.... We get some increased presence here on the forums for a few weels. then it starts to dwindle.. then Nothing of substance for months again.
If the Devs would commit to a WDA again... now THAT would really say something to me about the direction they want to go.
So how bout it PurpleFooz?!

Weekly Discussion A_____?
Signed, for more communication! Like 10 to 12 posts a day/daily from the devs, ongoing back & forth discussions, absolutely.
I look at Marvel Heroes as an example, just amazing the amount & quality of posts a day from the Gazillion Dev team over there!
*just saying*! Sigh! Great idea! Cheers! :P! :)! :D!

Weekly Discussion A_____?
WDA's = Weekly Developer Activities.
And yes, they were awesome and very much looked forward to.

If they are really willing to double-down on community interaction, feedback, and communication - there would be no better way to do it. And, bringing back the WDAs would be a sign that Turbine isn't just offering lip-service to the above that even a frustrated cynic like myself couldn't ignore.

wow. has it been that long that people who have been around since 2010 dont remember the Weekly Development Activities?
the WDA was not a Constant back and forth, but we all looked forward to mondays (Sometimes tuesday)because we got an update as to what was currently in development. what was being worked on. and what was ready for release.
it was a sad day when it was announced it was going away. We were told we would get more back and forth communication int he form of focused feedback...
that lasted a couple months as I recall....

As someone who was around during WDAs, I agree this was one of my favorite things to check out on the forums. We got consistent communication, a preview of what was coming down the pipe and to regularly see Dev communication on a weekly basis. I'd also figure Devs got feedback from the WDAs as well, which could prove useful in further development or changes. I'd very much love to see these come back, I personally miss them and believe the player base at large as well as Turbine could both benefit from their return.

I don't remember but I was still pretty new at the game and barely looking at anything other than the new player section. I really like the openess that has been shown lately and would love it if it was more formalised in this way so that it would be expected both sides rather than at the mercy of 'oh we're too busy right now'. Even if it was just touching base with us. MajM's weekly posts were awesome. I would love it if that regularly weekly thing was brought back and we were promised faithfully by the upper uppers that it was going to continue without fail until advised otherwise.

i actually like this idea. even if its a way to give us our DDO news or ideas etc. It would at least keep us happy as well to see some of the progress.

I never seen the WDA's myself since I started playing back in 2009, but I'd do like to see some more activity between the devs and their players who pay to have their products made

As awesome as it is, they need a specific member to do that. And too many hats are worn by everyone already.

Still waiting for transparency & the promised "more" communication, perhaps now that the PC has been chosen, we can get by MINIMUM 10 Dev posts a day on various topics.
Anywhoo. I love this game so so much, but Turbine is driving me freaking bonkers. Sigh. Cheers! :P! :)! :D!

Yes I remember the WDA fondly, i looked forward to reading it every week, it kept me excitded about what was in the works.
It was the WDA thread which also prevented a few really bad ideas from ever reaching live. For example paladin ac aura 4, which increased your pally ac bonus from 3 to 4, and cost 8 aps.
