I am not exactly sure on how the shuriken portion of the ninja training enhancement works, so I thought I would just ask to clarify.

Is the chance to throw a shuriken per attack on all attacks or just shuriken attacks ?

It says the chance is based on your dexterity, how exactly is that calculated?

If you throw an extra shuriken, does that one also have a chance to throw an extra?

How does that interact with the shuriken expertise feat, namely do I have two separate chances or are they added together?

If they are two separate chances, can the extra shuriken from one proc the extra from the other?

Is shuriken expertise calculated in the same way as advanced ninja training?

Just shuriken attacks

%= your Dex score. So a 30 dex is a 30% chance of throwing an extra shuriken



If you throw an extra shuriken, does that one also have a chance to throw an extra?

By my testing, no. The chance is based on the initial attack(aka the mouse click/actual throwing animation)

Yes, shuriken expertise is calculated the same way. Both effects have a chance to proc, and can proc simultaneously. No, they can not proc each other (see above, it's on animation)

Example:
w/ a dex of 30, there is a:
49% chance of throwing 1 shuriken (no proc)
42% chance of throwing 2 shuriken (one proc)
09% chance of throwing 3 shuriken (both proc)

Note that taking Shuriken Expertise does the same thing as ANT with stacking effects to star procs. This is a popular direction of shuriken-throwers as a primary weapon. Take a look at the Shiradi Shuricannon (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/423018-Shiradi-Shuricannon) build to see how well this works, using a Drow Ninja Spy. I love this build.
