Make Karma Farming suck less

Thankfully I had maxxed out all off sphere's before U20. So I will grab a single off-desinty life when I have enough Vcomms for a heart and call it a day with the off-spheres. 6 million XP for many of the a PL isn't worth it at all IMO. It's definitely not worth 6 million karma in off destiny.

I'd really hate to be a new player who has to grind them all out from scratch.

Can't wait for them to have all these sales and giveaways and come back and claim using those numbers that it's a super popular idea. Free is always popular. They are just putting off the inevitable numbers - that it sucks.

I think they should have made it a combination of karma and epic destiny XP. 6 million Karma needed in Sphere to Epic TR and then only Epic Destiny select for Epic TR gets rest to Zero (and karma gained in that Destiny).

That way you feel like you are leveling in favorite destiny. Instead of the feeling of no accomplishment farming 6 million Karma in a maxed out Sphere.

If Karma requirements were reduced to 2 million or 1/3 of what it is now..

Would Teh suck factor then be reduced to around a 3? Or would it still be around the 5 mark due to the large number of comms needed?

A suck factor of 3 would be acceptable.

I have always agreed with Teh_Troll's very sensible suggestions for epic reincarnation:

1) Reduce hearst to 2500 comms
2) Reduce karma to 2 million

I could be farming comms for epic hearts during this double comm bonus event. But so far, even with getting a free pic heart on all five of my alts (I spent $15 for one month of VIP) I have not been able to muster enough interest to farm off-destinies. My melee are fury, and as such never bothered to cap LD. But they only want the LD past life. They now need 4 million karma to use their free hearts.

You could certainly say that LD is a viable melee destiny, because it is. That's why I built an LD melee character. I do not want to play my two fury alts in LD because I built them for fury. If I want to play LD, I'll play my LD alt.

would be better if karma was free of spheres. There are many builds that dont benefit from the destinies in specifics spheres but would from teh past life. so they should've just made karma be free of any sphere, with no cap. that way even with the 6mil requirement, you could still do it in a destiny that you enjoy.

Amen, brother. I had all mine maxxed, so I'll probably do 2 total etrs in my main sphere. One free, and the other when I finally get enough comms. And I will do one more iconic TR as I pulled a +1 lr heart from a chest the other day, and I want to go back and fix a minor mistake I made with skills on this toon a bit and remove the first level forced class.

Nothing else in the etrs is worth all that grind. And this is coming from a completionist.
