Quick question about Monks using Whirlwind feat & Combat Expertise stance.

I see that to do a whirlwind attack i need the Combat Expertise feat, which is also a stance.

Do i need to be in the CE stance or just have it. Will this turn off Elemental stances (ie: Water stance) ?

you only need CE to get whirlwind as a feat, you dont need to have the stance active

and no, your elemental stances are not turned off...CE basicly functions in the exact same way as power attack in that regards
