View Full Version : An idea for the loot developer

Every update when named items are put into quests, there are always disappointed players because there was no named loot for their personal build. I thought it would be neat if you added a new mechanic on some quests which helped this situation.

Put a couple new NPCs into the game. They will have dialogue like a collector and ask for strange and exotic materials to use in their crafts.

Inside a new quest, instead of finding say another named repeating crossbow, let players find a "magical crossbow stock". They can give this item to the NPC which then pops up a menu letting it become any kind of crossbow type.

Make each crossbow have slightly different abilities with the same theme. Another example would be a "large chunk of extremely light metal" that could be turned in for any kind of returning throwing weapon.
