cant create character

hey, ive just downloaded the game but somehow i cant click "create character". the screen is full of "shop-buying-stuff"....

That is your Create Character button, in green, hiding behind the Buy Account Upgrades button:

But no matter how I moved the mouse, I could not get at it!

I would suggest you use the English client to do your character creation, and switch back to the German client once you are done. Unfortunately, the Devs have stated that they are no longer supporting the German or French clients, so I wouldn't expect this to be fixed.
