I've been gone from the game for almost a year and a half, and now I suddenly seem to find myself playing again.

My main right now (or when I left I guess) is a WF FvS at level 8 on his first TR. I was building based on the Soul Survivor build from way back https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/268346-The-Soul-Survivor-(WF-FvS20-Healer-Melee-DPS-Threat-Tank-hybrid) and I was just getting the hang of integrating the original Angel of Vengeance into my build.

Now of course everything has changed.

So what do people recommend? (keeping in mind that I'm already 8 levels in, so I'm not completely changing the build). Most people seem to be suggesting that splashing a couple of levels of fighter/paladin/monk will help a lot, but I have pretty low Wis and Cha for a FvS, so I think only fighter would really make sense. I would lose the last level of DR, but it seems that's not as important anymore, at least not compared to the Kensai advatages.

So any advice?

Thanks in advance

Or do the same as above with following changes:

* Save your LR
* Take two monk levels (if you have the class - pally as above otherwise 1/wiz, 1barb, will explain below)

* Monk Version:
Monk Feats-
Power Attack
Lightning Reflexes (As there is really nothing else worth taking except maybe deflect arrows)

Normal Feats-
Cleave
Gt Cleave
Maximize
Empower
Improve Crit:Slash
Quicken
Empower Heal

Epic Feats:
As Above Quoted
This version has evasion, can get nice saves even with dumped dex & wis, more survivable version

* Wiz/Barb splashes:
Wiz Feat:
Any meta you want (max/emp/quicken)

Barb gets run speed, wiz gets metamagic and free invis clicky & two trees worth of extra hp + force enhancements + another cleave
Still lets you take all above feats during heroics (except lightning reflexes), more offensive variant.

Not to derail this thread, but its relevant to the subject at ahnd and will probably help OP as well.

Has the 10 free DR feat for level 20 FvS really fallen that horribly out of style? I was a lover of the soul survivor as well myself, mostly because having all that DR (with Adamantite Body+ Enhancement DR) made you a nigh-unkillable soloing machine.

Depends a lot on what kind of content you are doing. If you primarily run EH, then the DR is still quite amazing. In EE, you start getting hit for 250 points on non-crits by yard trash, and deducting 10 points from that really doesn't matter worth a ****. PRR is much more useful because it is a percentage reduction. From that perspective, a WF with Adamantine Body will have an advantage with being able to stay pure instead of worrying about splashing for the heavy armor feat (plus the greatsword proficiency, so no need to splash for that either).

Thanks to everyone, I've got some ideas to play with it sounds like.
