Quick question about the new Sacred Defender Stance...
Do you need to go S&B to get the benefits of it?
Or does it not matter if you go S&B, THF, TWF, Ranged, Halfling-Throwing?

I'm interested in a TWF tankish build with 6 pally lvls. Hence the question.

the +6 STR/CON and 20% HP all need S&B to work.

the rest will all work without a shield

You get all the benefits of the stance even if you don't use a shield. The only exception to this is the Greater Stance Enhancement, which specifically states that you need to have a shield equipped. Otherwise, you're good to go.

Yeah, I use the stance on my TWF paladin. You don't get the str/con/hp bonuses unless you use a shield and you can't remove the 10% movement penalty without a shield, either, but honestly, I haven't noticed the movement penalty at all. It's worth it, though: for 18 points in the defender tree you can get +8 AC (5 from aura, 3 from stance), +3 max dexterity bonus, +6 saves (3 from aura, 3 from stance), and 25 PRR.
