How Does True Reincarnation Work over level 20?

I can't seem to find a straight answer on this. I'm considering TRing for the first time and I've got a level 28. Ideally I would ER first, but I'm not buying a stone and I really don't want to wait to grind one out. So if I TR a level 28, what happens to the 8 epic levels? Do they go away? Are they banked until I hit 20?

They are gone and you will have to re-level them when you hit 20 again. Your completely starting over.

At least epic quest exp is reset as well, so you can get full BB. AFAIK, the level ranges are extended for BB in epics as well, so it's within 4 levels of normal level (could be very wrong on that...maybe have been a product of the rumormill). Still a lot of exp to get, but worth knowing at least.
