Hi, at the moment I tr'd my fvs into a warforged sorcerer (still working through the heroic levels). The question that is running through my head is if I should pick fire or water as my secondary (air will be my main), also I want input for just epic levels, no worries on heroic content. I'm just leaning towards fire since (as far as I know) has more overall damage, the aoe damage is also what I like. Have always been a fan of water, overall it's also very nice. Will be running in draconic, not really in the mood for shiradi. Any input or thoughts would be highly appreciated, thank you.

Air+Fire seems to be the most popular combo for sorcs these days; however that's in part due to the synergies with AoV (Scourge+Just Reward) and Shiradi, I think.

Enhancements are easy to change. With a blood of dragons spells are easy to change. So really it does not matter.

Leveling my Sorc, I actually went Fire Savant with Air Savant as secondary. Fire works wonderfully on all those teen level undead in the Necropolis.

Afterwards I respeced to Air Savant (primary) and Water Savant. I wanted to boost both my main DOT's, and I find the slow effect of Ice Storm much more useful than firewall, particularly since Ice Storm (which lots of mobs use) will always trump Firewall.

I run an Air/Fire savant and it just shines in Epic content. That would be my pick.

Thank you for the replies everyone. Just curious, could you explain what about it "shines"? And what difficulty do you usually run on? At the moment I was think of just doing 18 sorc./ 2 pal. For saves. Fvs sounds like it may be fun. Right now I'm running air/fire, both are pretty much tied, doing great overall. And that's what I like with the water savant, the bit extra cc. However, pretty much looking for the one that could add the most dps. Sorry for misspelling or poor grammar, my phone hates me.

I run only EEs and I've soloed EE WGU with that setup.

The fire dot is awesome DPS, even when you want to just keep the dot up you can just spam cheap non meta Scorching Ray. Meteor Swarm is the best AoE spell in the game probably. Also, you will never find a mob immune to both Fire and Air (although some mobs are immune to another and resistant to the other). Wall of Fire is still solid even in some EEs. Although, to make it work, you really want some Lesser Maximize Clicky and Evocation gear/past lifes.

In the end, it's probably the best setup at the moment for a Pure Sorc. If you are going to splash it, then someone else will probably suggest you better things as I haven't a splashed Sorc.

Thanks everyone. Will stick with the Air/fire in epics, play around with it I guess and see how I like it lol. Don't have all the gear needed, but getting there should be fun. As for past lives I only have one sorc., but I also have a wizard one so the feat can make up for at least one of those I suppose. Will get the three lives eventually, just lazy. Will see how my guy looks at higher levels before deciding if I want to splash or not.
