Im thinking of coming back, but curious about if starting completely fresh would be more worthwhile. My highest level character is a 16, but i doubt id actually play any of my old characters, they are pretty much banks atm. I am planning to buy both expansions and probly get VIP for awhile, so starting fresh on a new account seems like a nice idea. Im just not sure if i would lose anything overall, I know a fresh start would give me more overall TP to get more adv packs or classes/races.

Did your old account ever purchase any adventure packs, races, classes, shared bank or veteran status?

Nope. They are pretty much exactly the same except the old one has vet 4 status, which ill get from the expansions anyway. Also has original stormreach registered, which i dont think adds anything?

Well, there's no rule against having 2 accounts - can start a new account & keep the old one for extra storage if you don't want to play the characters (or 2-box and drag them along if you need an extra body on a quest)

Mainly trying to figure out or find out if i would really lose anything. Gonna get both xpacs so that would bump the new account to Premium and give me Vet 4. Earning the favor shouldnt be a problem.

I would keep your old account to use as a mule account at least, for sure. Given your situation, a brand new account to start over sounds perfectly reasonable.

Just a reminder that when you buy both expansions, buy them in the DDO Market in a single purchase. Add Shadowfell to your cart first and then you get to add MotU standard edition at half price.

Then either hold onto those 2000 TP until the next pack sale, or maybe invest in shared bank and monk.

Every character should've gotten at least 1 free raider's box (http://ddowiki.com/page/Raider%27s_Reward_Box). Maybe I'm easily bribed, but a free CitW weapon (or 5 Heroism comms) seems like kind of a big deal to me. :)

Apart from that, I don't see what the OP thinks he's gaining by starting a new account. If he's out of open char slots on his original account, why doesn't he just buy a few more? I could understand if his account had been hacked or whatever, but it sounds like he still plans to use it.
