Do people takes these past heroic levels? They have certainly helped with leveling after they get dancing to drop reflexes, but eventually do they not do enough damage to matter having ?

Going to drop both, just hit 20 and dealing with drow which I can't CC make these a waste of points.

If you focus on Enchantment and with Vampire Shroud, they are cc-able. Necromancers will successfully save more often, Archers a bit more often, but the Fighters are always willing to fight on your side or to become holded, despite what ED you have active. A fully upgraded Magister ED will make Archers and Necromancers more likely to become cc'ed, the Vampire then is not so important anymore.

In my first life I played Wiz 18 / Rogue 2, Warforged, and the Vampire toggled on and off made a noticable difference. It requires 11 points in PM and I did also skill the Arcane Bolt and Blast, at the cost of lower Metamagic Improvements. But I mostly used the Enchantment SLA's, so it wasn't a big disadvantage.

Spell penetration has been issue, first life bladeforged wizard. Unsure about DC's because it doesn't get that far.
