Raid boxes- why only CITW?

I don't understand why they are limited to only CITW loot. My toons have never done any of the underdark quests(I was on a long break). It shouldn't be too hard to put some lower level raid stuff in them. Maybe 2 or 3 items from every raid. Not gonna lie, I was hoping to finally pull a SOS ouot of it. I cant even use the stuff yet, as I don't have any toons at 23.

The big issue with it being only CitW loot is that there's absolutely nothing in that box for Divines!

They could have at least fitted in the Gauntlets of Eternity or something.

BUT

It's too late now - They've done us all a favour and that's that.

This is called looking a gift horse in the mouth. You got something free, potentially two things depending upon whether or not you got your first one. The bestresponse upon receiving a gift from a person or a company is to say thank you, not complain. Also, the comms are useful to upgrade/create dragonscale things, so it's technically linked to FOT also.

I thought it was because CITW completion counts were so screwed up for so long, and 20th completion lists were flat-out broken.
But then again, I've only half paid attention to the whole thing - so I could very well be wrong.


I'ma just enjoy my free stuff, though.

Exactly...they weren't giving us boxes because they owe us free shinies. They were making up for a specific problem with the CitW raid, and rather than spend the time to target the recompensation to those who actually were affected by it, they gave it to basically anyone who bothered to sign up for one.

Its like if someone won a class action lawsuit, and they gave out judgments to everyone in the gallery and the courthouse cafeteria too.

CitW was the only raid they could fix the counter for, so what you said doesn't make much sense.
If people lost out on a 20th list, it was likely for a different raid, and many of the characters I got this box with actually got it for running a different raid.

If they were trying to make up for lost 20th lists, they chose the wrong raid to make up

My point exactly, they should put a bit of loot from all or at least most of the raids in the box.

...or just not given anything free out at all, and waited until the fires burnt out and the pitchforks were put away and all was forgotten. How often do we get free stuff for any kind of screw up? I'm happy with what I have, even if I can't use most of it yet.
