Commendation of Heroism fail

This was the message my character received after using my Raider's Box to get "5 Commendations of Heroism:"


(Standard): Raider's Reward Box success with 5 Commendations of Heroism! Consumed: Raider's Reward Box. Created: Commendation of Heroism, 4 Commendations of Heroism.

And a message popped up on the screen saying my 4 Commendations of Heroism were successfully moved into my bag of holding, err ingredients bag. Unfortunately I don't know how many I had before, so I can't say if it was a text problem or if I really only got 4. Actually, either way it is a text problem (the box or the acquire message).

Does this mean I'm not as heroic as I was originally led to believe?

Sorry, not trying to be mean...just...the fifth thread on this today? Anyway, if you read the text closely, it says it created one, then it created four more, for a total of five. Hope that helps!

What i mean is this: When somebody is annoyed by X they tend to react instead of researching.

Trust me, it didn't bother me. I just wanted to point out that there have been multiple threads about this today....maybe Turbine should put something somewhere so people know about it! That was all, no bad intentions towards you :)

Do you know where to trade these in? I was unable to use any of the items in the box, so I chose the commendations. Now I can't find anywhere to cash them in and I have tried every trader I can find. I have searched the forum and ddowiki to know avail.

Commendations are used to upgrade the CiTW weapons in Eveningstar or to get epic Dragon armor in Gianthold (or red/green in Eveningstar). They can also purchase some augment gems in Gianthold I believe.
