So, I screwed up a character a while back when using his +20 heart, got my class levels all mixed up and he's kinda in holding.

I have another character I'm looking at - but I'm wondering / recalled someone saying the heart no longer looked "ahead" at future levels, but instead only looked at present levels.

Before I eat the heart, anyone have RECENT experience with this? Essentially I have a character with 3 current classes (16/2/2) and I'm thinking of changing him into a 12/6/2 where the 12 and 6 are not in his currrent spec. I don't want to eat the heart, get on the Heart of Wind and find out I can't do what I want because he'd have 4 classes at first level.

I did the same two weeks ago, so unless it was very recent, I don't think so. I would love to be wrong however. I had to use a +5 later........

sucked

Hi, I took a break from DDO and came back 1,5 weeks ago. I used 3 20+ LR hearts on my toons last week and the game does indeed still "look ahead".
You can actually try that out quite easily yourself. Just try to LR a toon with 3 different classes and try to take a class at lvl 1 that he hadn't had before.
You can't, all the other classes are inaccessible ;)

In my specific case I LRed my 18Fvs / 2 Fighter. That was long ago when I made that build and I had no clue, when I actually took the 2 fighter levels. My goal was a 14Ranger/5Paladin/1Fighter. So my plan was taking the 14 ranger first in hope to overwrite the 2 old fighter levels, then take the 5 Paladin levels and replace the last FvS level with the 1 Fighter.

Sucked when I found out at 14 Ranger I coudn't proceed with paladin since 1 fighter level was still open and the rest FvS.
I ended up with 15 Ranger / 4 Paladin / 1 Fighter in the end.

Thanks guys - this is what I thought and mirrors my previous experience - but I've not tried recently (and someone on here or in game seemed to imply that you could do it now). I wanted to double check first - looks like this guy will need mroe than an LR.

Nice to find this topic before i use the +20LR on my 18/1/1 build
At first i thought i could make any class combo i wished, but as i read here, there are limitations

....

So, if i got it right... this happened because you had taken your 2nd fighter lvl at 15? While if you had taken it at 14 (or before) it would have been overwritten by the 14 Ranger levels and you'd be able to do your thing?

In my case, i took the 18 Ranger levels first, and in the end i splashed Fighter (19) and Barb (20)
So, i can now make any combination i like with those 3 classes...
But if i wanted to make a Ranger/Rogue, i can only go 19ranger/1rogue? (and take the rogue level at 20, which is not optimal for skills?)

Hmmm...
Looks like i'll stick to my current classes when i LR... probably ditch the Barb level, and make a Ranger/Fighter... or stay pure Ranger.... omg, what to do, what to do... if anyone can help me decide what to LR into, i'd appreciate it... I'm a Tempest atm, i think i'll stick to that, but i hear a lot about the new ranged capabilities of DWs... If i go Tempest/Fighter, how many ranger levels would be good? i'd like at least 15 ranger for 4th favoured enemy and 2 lvl4 spells, but other than that, i'm not sure :/ help? (all the changes have overwhelmed me after 2,5 years of not playing..)

Double checking is good - i hope everything works out well for you :)
