View Full Version : TRs available through gameplay - should LR+0s be too?

Since they're revamping the Reincarnation system entirely, I figured it's a good time to ask...do you think there should be a way (Tokens, Commendations, or something) to grind out LR+0s through gameplay?

I was thinking about how much the game changes, from Heroic into Epic - skills like Concentrate, which are extremely useful in Heroic, become deprecated in Epic. Feats you may really want to take in early in Heroic get replaced by high-level enhancements or EDs. You didn't eat an INT tome till L12, and you want to claim the extra skillpoints you missed early on. Or maybe you just didn't know the class very well, and want to make a few tweaks after you've played around in Epic a bit. You didn't eat a +3 DEX or STR tome till 18, and you want to take some feat (IPS, for example) that you couldn't before. You're a sorc/fvs/bard and you want to revamp your spellbook, take out some of the DC-based stuff that doesn't fly in Epic, without it taking 21 days, or hoping there's a Blood of Dragons on the AH.

Lots of things change once you hit 20; the game really does encourage you to build one type of char for Heroic, and then transition to another type for Epic, its not a seamless change.

An LR+0 would give you some option for (non-class-level) flexibility besides TR/reroll, without being so trivial that you treat your stats/feats/skillpoints as freely changeable as enhancements. Would you support something like that, or can you think of a reason that'd be a bad idea?

hmm, they are already giving every existing and every new character a free LR0 in U20, i'm guessing thats as many freebies as they want to give away for now!

that freebie covers a lot of the scenarios you mentioned, the bulk being due to learning curve so on your next life those lessons will have been learnt

not saying i'm opposed to a method of earning them ingame besides favour farming, just not sure its needed
