Purple Dragon Knight Kensai Bastard Sword option not working

I created a purple dragon knight warrior, and took the kensai exotic weapon enchancement, but when I equip the exotic bastard sword, it says I do not have proficiency.

What gives? No b-sword for the purple dragon knights?

the kensai enhancement does not grant proficiency
it merely adds exotic weapons to your kensai focus group
you need to take the feat
