Help! How to get back to Korthos Village?

I am a new beginner of DDO, and I have just started a level 1 character in Korthos village.
However, I transported to the hall of heroes once (just curious...), and then I can't find a way to get back to Korthos village to do all the beginners quests.
Can some help me to get back?

Go to the Harbor, then go to the Lighthouse.

The captain to take you back to Korthos is on the docks by the Lighthouse.

Go back to the Harbor.

Press M for Map. See that BIG island thing in the water, that looks like a shield with a purple dot icon and a green star icon? Go there.

Go to the lower central area, or South Central part of the map, the island is in the SE part of map sort of.

Down there you will find Baudry and Cerulean Hills gate.

There is a wharf that runs towards the big lighthouse on the island.

Or you can swim there, you don't get wet and your hair will remain perfect.

Once on the island talk to whoever is the GREEN STAR.

Whatever you do, don't try True Reincarnating. (normally a solid way to end up next to a halfling on a beach)

Exit the Hall of Heroes to the Stormreach Marketplace. Open you map (M button) and look towards the bottom of your screen (should look something like this: http://ddowiki.com/page/File:Citymap_TheMarketplacenew.jpg). You'll see a green star at the bottom of the screen, the green stars are zone transitions. You want to exit the Marketplace to Stormreach Harbor.

Once in the Harbor, open your map again (http://ddowiki.com/page/File:DDO_Harbor.jpg) . You should see on the right hand side of the screen a green star for Korthos Village. Come back let me know if you're still having trouble finding it.

This will work from where ever you are...

Open the map [m]. Scattered across the map (but most often at the edges), there are bright green "starbursts" on the map - those are gateways to adjacent areas.* Mouse-hover over the green stars, starting at the edges of the map - those tend to be the gates that connect to other main city zones/areas.


(* You probably won't be able to use all of them - some are not Free-to-Play, some have Minimum Levels, etc. And some might not have obvious labels - for instance, the "Port Agent" in The Harbor can take you to a couple places - go visit each to see what's what.)

Now, in most areas, there may also be a green star (often away from the middle) that is the Stormreach Teleporter - if you can find that, you can go directly to most(!) other areas. To get to the Harbor, select "Marketplace" (not "Marketplace North") - then turn around, and go thru that gate.

If you can get to Stormreach Market, The Harbor gate is on the south side of that (where the t-porter drops you). "The Market" also connects to all the other main areas (called "enclaves") - each main House has its own, and you'll start to get familiar with them as you play more. Using The Market as your "center" is not a bad way to start to get a feel for everything.


And if that fails, just ask in /general, plea for the mercy of those who have been there before you. ;)

It starts out clear as mud, like a plate of inter-dimensional spaghetti, but you'll start to learn the paths that you use most frequently, and then build from there.
