View Full Version : Help with my build

Right now I'm a 10/6 Ranger/Fighter

I'm looking for help in two things:

1. Should I go 14 levels of Ranger or splash another class? Or take 12 Ranger and 8 Fighter?

2. Where should I start working to begin the grind for end game gear. Also a good selection of end game gear options for a tempest evasion build.

I would really love any help I can get because I'm afraid of moving forward right now.

Multi classing, always best to plan the build to level 20 before you start.

That said, what are you trying to achieve? Where is your character strong, where is it weak? Look at the enhancements and see which ones you want and what levels of what class you need.

Excellent questions and points.

That said, if I were making a toon with those levels, I'd probably go 11 ranger / 8 fighter / 1 monk for TWF + centered weapons + fury shot. We could help better if we knew the feat and stat layout you've selected so far.

I use the term "build" loosely, please understand I'm not a hard core player. I would like to get to endgame status.

My enhancements are mostly in tempest. I am up for suggestions, I've been VIP since I started never stopped paying even in my absence so I have a grip of Turbine points. I am TWF already (greater TWF and Evasion) - Dodge is 13%

I really find that my self healing is a little weak, I can solo my level stuff on Norm usually sometimes hard if I go slow.

Right now I am happy playing this character; He is fun and I just would like a serviceable member of a team when I get to epic levels and really just opinions on gear I should start hunting for. I understand nothing is "best" I just would like suggestions from people that have been playing more.

You can do. Never mind, there are plenty of possibilities to reach max Level (note, it's not Endgame, it's max Level, because there is no Endgame): Quests, Raids, Slayer, Explorer, Challenges. Just continue as you did before. Do some quests on normal, do some challenges, do some slayer if you like an Raids if you find other players to join.

At level 16 you could do the three quests necessary to enter Eveningstar. There then there's plenty to do. You can also go to Reaver's Reach Wilderness Zones if you have access to. There are three zones you could explore easily (but beware the concealed Beholder in the gardens). Finally there's the Vale of Twilight (go to the Twelve and enter the Vale) a zone where you could stay for a long time too ;)

Wow. You have tons of options...you have a lot of granted feats and free feats because of ranger/fighter..you get a free respec too, one time from Fred in House J.

Empowered Healing feat will help your healing a lot.

You should take 11th Ranger to get Improved Precise Shot and GTWF for free...What do you wanna do? TWF mostly? Ranged? You can probably do both well with all of the Feats/Enhancement points you have...

If you wanna solo well and be well rounded, you can buy a +1 Lesser Reincarnation Stone and take Rogue at first level and put skill points into: Disable Device, Open lock, Search, Spot, UMD. Maybe some points in Heal and Jump....Recommend Int of at least 12 or 14 to get enough skill points though..You have Evasion already from Ranger.

Well, 11th ranger level gets you GTWF and IPS (without meeting pre-reqs for them) and cure moderate, it's hard to go wrong with that. 2 more fighter levels (assuming you take WF and WS as feats) gets you access to One with the Blade and Keen Edge, which makes your melee much more effective. Adding 1 monk to this gives you access to the monk stances (usable with One with the Blade), 10% off hand attack, and special attacks, and once you hit epic levels you can use dance of flowers, all of which are very useful for 1 level splash. That's the route I'd probably go given your existing build. Do you fight with Khopesh? Knowing what feats you bought would help a bit also (and race, I assume human?).

Yes Khopesh and H/Orc, I am open to exchanging feats if needed.

I vote rgr 12 / ftr 8.

Heroic feats (not in order): Power Atk, Cleave/Great Cleave, IC:Slash, khopesh, WF/WS/GWF:Slash, Emp Heal, Quicken; one feat left over for whatever you like (Toughness, Dodge, IC:Ranged, Imp Sunder, etc.)

Epic feats: Overwhelming Crit, your choice, Blinding Speed or Epic DR or Epic Reflexes

Enhancements: at least 31 APs in Kensei (Haste Boost, full Weap Spec:Hvy Blades, Exotic Weap Mastery, STR x2, Keen Edge); at least 21 APs in Tempest (100% offhand procs); at least 6 APs in DWS for +Pos Spellpower; at least 16 APs in HO tree (+2 STR, Extra Action Boost, Imp PA x3), leaving 6 APs to tweak things.

EDIT: primary ED - Fury of the Wild, but hop over to Primal Avatar long enough to Twist Rejuv Cocoon. You'll be glad you did. :)
